Making changes to Aircraft.cfg Files.

I’ve been changes to aircraft.cfg files, then saving while the aircraft folder is in the Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft folder.

Since my last reload of FS9, I have been getting an, “this file exist do you still want to save it, when I say yes I get “Access denied”,

message whenever I change any lines in the Aircraft.cfg file. IE redoing the, title=HTAI KC130J USMC_VMGR-352 to title=USMC KC130J.

I have to remove the folder from aircraft listing to, Desk Top, or another folder, to change it and save it.

This happens with all Aircraft folders, Default or added.

Any help, would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like UAC is preventing you from making your edits inside of your Sim. This happens if you have installed it to the default location inside of Program Files.

I'll let you Google UAC to find ways around it.

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️
