bkrull
The first day I installed P3D, I wrecked the Cessna 172. Since then, I’ve been unable to use it. The flight opens with the plane sitting on the runway with what appears to a slightly bent propeller. It will crank over once and no more. I’ve tried resetting the flight with no luck. How do I start over with the Cessna or reset the flight? I’m baffled. Thanks for your help. Bill
donnybalonny
What Cessna is that? My P3Dv2.4 doesnt have a default Cessna C172. If its the A2A Cessna 172, then you might have to install Simconnect.dll. Its not a bad idea to do that anyways because other aircraft may malfuncion if its not installed. The dll is in a folder somewhere in the P3D install. If you need to know where, I will look for it.
lohpsch
Is it the A2A C172? If so, you must do the same thing that you would do in real life: take it to the maintenace hangar and fix the damage (don't worry, you don't have to pay for it). Cheers,
mallcott
If it is the Cessna by A2A I strongly urge you to read the fime manual. There is no option with this aircraft as it is a study sim.
WK95
Actually, the A2A 172 has an autostart button.
mallcott
Actually, the A2A 172 has an autostart button. Does not work with persistent damage.
WK95
Does not work with persistent damage. Ah yes, you're right about that. Well, a reset or simply starting a new scenario should fix it.
mallcott
Ah yes, you're right about that. Well, a reset or simply starting a new scenario should fix it. Reset is exactly what taking the aircraft to the maintenance hangar does. Starting a new scenario will NOT fix it. Persistent Damage modelling means exactly that. You have to fix it.
