Hi all, 1. Do all airports have DME transmitters? 2. If not, how do you tell how far your plane is from an airport? 3. How do I find out if an airport (KHAF in this case) has a DME transmitter? 4. Are all DME's standardized or functionally the same eg. range? Thank you.

/images/notams/notams18/orbx0115/orbx0115.jpgPacific Coast & Bay Fog! Half Moon Bay is a unique airport located on the Pacific Coast inSan Mateo County just south of San Francisco, and just over the rangesfrom KSFO. Being so close to the Bay Area, the airport sees a lot ofGA traffic throughout the year, as well as some air taxiservices. Taking you back to the days of Flight Unlimited II, thespectacular coastline around the airport makes for a truly amazingapproach, and when you land, you'll surely have a great meal waitingfor you at the Three-Zero cafe. /images/notams/notams18/orbx0115/khaf2.jpgDuring the summer months, you may want to brush up on your IFRskills, as the airport is clouded by low lying fog for many days ofthe season, making the approach a little trickier! The airport hasbeen faithfully recreated from imagery taken over multiple visits tothe airport by the developers in the last few years, and is also notfar away from many other Orbx airports, such as KSTS Sonoma County,KMRY Monterey, and KSQL San Carlos, all of which are nearby, as wellas other airports a bit further inland, such as KTVL and KBLU. We hopeyou enjoy our recreation of this iconic airport! /images/notams/notams18/orbx0115/khaf1.jpgKey Features100 sq km+ of 30/60cm photorealStunning coastline approachCustom modeled airport & objectsAdvanced rendering, ambient occlusion and night-lightingBonus helipad on Pillar PointCustom vegetation at airportTextureFlow optimizedHigh detail landmarks and POIsUses latest 3D lighting techDetailed custom static aircraftHigh resolution 5m meshFull suite of Flow technology usedDeveloped by Misha Cajic and Scott Armstrong BUY NOW! /images/notams/notams18/orbx0115/khaf3.jpg
