/images/notams/notams18/vert1215/da62-1.jpgVertx Flight Simulation is proud to announce the release of theirfirst aircraft - the Diamond DA62 for Prepar3D v4, available forpurchase now atwww.vertxsim.com. The Diamond DA62 is one of the newest and most advanced GA aircraftyou can buy today. Powered by two turbo-charged 180hp jet-fuel dieselengines, the DA62 features a sleek carbon-composite airframe, advancedavionics, TKS anti-icing, redundant engine control computers, and manymore advanced systems. /images/notams/notams18/vert1215/da62-2.jpgThe Vertx DA62 provides the most realistic and immersive flyingexperience possible. Every aspect of the Vertx DA62 exhibits unmatchedattention-to-detail_from the 3D models and textures, to the avionics, the aircraft systems, the aerodynamics, the sounds, and the overalluser experience. The Vertx G1000 features the clearest and smoothest-moving glassdisplay yet seen in P3D, thanks to the innovative use of 3D modellingto build the digital display. Text is clear and readable, colours aresmooth and crisp, and the attitude indicator moves perfectly smoothlyat the same frame-rate as the rest of the sim. /images/notams/notams18/vert1215/da62-3.jpgThe G1000 MFD features large, clear maps with multiple displayoptions. Integral with the G1000 is a fully-featured flight plannerthat allows you to create, save, edit and load flight plans directlyin the G1000, or load flight plans from an external flight planner.Realistic direct-to, GPS OBS, VNAV and GPS LPV approach guidance arealso simulated. The Vertx DA62 features in-depth systems modelling, allowing you tofly using the exact same procedures outlined in the real-life DA62POH. All cockpit settings are saved between flights, meaning wheneveryou start a new flight in the Vertx DA62 it's just how left it on yourlast flight. /images/notams/notams18/vert1215/da62-4.jpgEach engine features dual control computers with automated run-up,single power lever control and automatic propeller feathering. Othersystems include: a custom electrical system with realistic batterydrain, ground power, backup batteries on engine ECUs and the standbyattitude module; a realistic fuel system with manually pumpedauxiliary tanks; emergency gravity powered gear extension; TKSanti-icing; supplemental oxygen, and much more. The flight model received particular attention, with the aim ofbringing new levels of realism to P3D. Utilising code written outsideof the standard P3D flight model, the lift and drag values for eachindividual wing are constantly calculated, ensuring the most realisticlow speed, stall, and spin characteristics possible. To ensure the most realistic single-engine handling possible, we'veadded more custom code to simulate single-engine asymmetricalthrust. An engine failure while flying at high power with low airspeedcan lead to loss of directional control and inadvertent spinentry. /images/notams/notams18/vert1215/da62-5.jpgAll interior sounds are controlled by custom code exclusive to theVertx DA62. The engine sounds feature ultra-realistic response to RPMand power changes. Propeller sounds feature numerous advancementsincluding propeller blade angle-of-attack effects. Wind sounds reactto aircraft attitude, gear position, and more. Sounds become louderwhen you open the doors. Additional features include: hypoxia (oxygen starvation)simulation; Wing flex with custom control code; doors that react toairspeed and attitude changes; volumetric propellers that smoothlytransition between high and low RPM; floating magnetic compass;cockpit vibrations; stall buffet; over-speed cockpit vibrations andwing flutter; engine start-up and shut-down vibrations; and muchmore. A feature-rich config app allows you set the Vertx DA62 to be justthe way you like. For more information visitwww.vertxsim.com.

/images/notams/notams18/vert0928/t/Vertx_DA62_02.jpgWe are proud to announce the formation of a new flight sim aircraftdeveloper - Vertx Flight Simulation. We will soon be releasing ourfirst product, the Diamond DA62 for Prepar3D v4. The Vertx DA62 G1000 PFD has been created using 3D gauge modellingtechniques to deliver a PFD with unmatched clarity and animationsmoothness. The G1000 flight planner allows creation, saving and loading offlight plans, as well as compatibility with the built-in P3D flightplanner. All of the G1000 autopilot modes have been realisticallymodelled, including enroute vertical navigation, LPV approaches withglideslope, pitch hold, enroute turn anticipation,course-wheel-steering, plus much more. Accurate Direct-to and OBS modehave been simulated. /images/notams/notams18/vert0928/t/Vertx_DA62_20.jpgThe exterior and interior feature crystal clear 4K textures withnight lighting and dimmable panel back-lighting. An advanced flight model includes features such as a custom-codedstall and spin routine, custom-coded single engine flight modellingwith realistic VMC behaviour, as well as advanced engine andelectrical system modelling. The virtual cockpit uses a wholly custom-coded sound engineproviding many improvements over the standard P3D soundengine. Features include more realistic stereo panning and separation, high propeller angle-of-attack sound effects, and the pitch (orfrequency) of the sounds are accurately tied to RPM rather thanmanifold pressure as is usually the case with piston powered aircraftin P3D. Also included are sounds for all switches and levers, G1000annunciations, doors plus much more. High frame rates have been made a priority and so far our betatesters are reporting good results in that regard. We anticipate a release within the next few weeks. Stay tuned forfurther updates!
