The idea of this thread is that you can use it to announce that you are working on a scenery. Just to let other developers know that an airport, city or region is in development. That way hopefully we won't work on the same addons without knowing it. If you want to show the work in progress of your scenery, you can do that in here.

AI Aircraft Editor.NET (AIAE.NET) for FS9/FSX/P3Dv1-P3Dv6 allows easy validation and modification of your aircraft configuration files. It allows mass-updating of specific keys. It checks the [fltsim.x] sequences for correctness. You can re-number sections and format the aircraft.cfg file. AIAE.NET allows to change the wingspan size for FS9 and for FSX and later aircraft. You can run a detailed validation on a selected aircraft or on all aircraft below a given root folder. The validation checks for missing and unused textures, models and air files, duplicate titles etc. You choose to see either an overview, detailed or error report. AIAE.NET features a model viewer (by courtesy of Arno Gerretsen), allowing you to see any selected model and texture. Version 4 was rewritten in major parts to increase performance and eliminate bugs. The application interface has been restructured, P3Dv6 support has been added and it uses the current MCX viewer components. New is the aircraft effects management. -

Hi, fellow FS9-ers. As you most probably know, Mike Stone's web site became defunct around 2012. Fortunately, you can download a collection of 107 of his creations in one aircraft collection archive file. It was uploaded by Robin Meyerowitz and is available on simviation. However, there are at least 9 aircraft missing from this collection - all FS9 aircraft Mike Stone created around 2011. They are not on any web site - presumably lost for ever! Does anyone have them? Here is the original description (from a defunct archive) of the "lost" aircraft: North American B-25J WWII medium bomber. Beyond the attention drawn by the famous Doolittle raid on Japan, the B-25 Mitchell served as an extremely capable and versatile aircraft throughout the war. Rugged and reliable, it's crews loved it, as much as the Axis powers hated it. This package contains several detailed repaints, thankfully provided by Garry J. Smith. StoneAir Streak The Streak is a mid size passenger aircraft, designed to cruise at mach 3 at 50,000 and above. It sports a unique telescoping nose probe, designed to significantly reduce the sonic boom signature. StoneAir Stumpy The world's first wide body corporate jet. Can double as a regional jet. StoneAir Lift King This is my concept of a super sized cargo plane to replace the C-5 Galaxy. A massive aircraft with a two cargo decks. With fully blown flaps, it still needs a substantial runway to take off, but no more so than any other large body aircraft. The concept involves the ability to transport a entire combat unit and all its equipment in a single load. StoneAir Wind Ride This is my concept of a wide body airliner in the 777/A330 class. It features steeply swept, rear mounted wings, with forward mounted canards for pitch control. It has four high bypass fanjet engines mounted under the wings. StoneAir Puddle Jumper This is my rendition of a Boeing concept aircraft. The design is intended to satisfy the military's requirement for the ATT (Advanced Theater Transport). Boeing originally considered a true VTOL design, essentially an enlarged Osprey. But that proved impractical and they settled on a STOL design utilizing a tilting main wing. StoneAir Whisper The StoneAir Whisper is my concept of a medium size passenger jet, in the 737/A320 class. The rear mounted wings are configured to shield the high mounted twin engines from the ground, reducing its noise signature. It is designed for use in inner city and other environments where noise abatement is an issue. Israeli Air Industry Arava The IAI Arava is a small, yet versatile cargo plane, with excellent short field capability. The Miles Aerovan, of which Israel has used several, is believed to be the basis for this design. The resemblance is pretty obvious. Israel Air Industry Westwind 2 When Rockwell took over the Aero Commander company, they had no desire to continue production of the 1120 Jet Commander, as it competed directly with their own Sabreliner. Israeli Aircraft Industries acquired the rights to the Jet Commander and used it as the basis for the Westwind. They stretched the fuselage, increased the takeoff weight, and equipped it with more powerful engines. The aircraft was highly successful, remaining in production for 20 years, until IAI switched production to the Astra.

Does anyone here still have the fifty north 737 classic paintkit by Denis Minaev? If it's still there, can you send the file? I want to make a livery but I don't have a paintkit. -Adam

For the flyable Ilyushin Il-18D model by NAVYNK. Completed version available HERE. Notice that I have added an additional files: aircraft.cfg and .air file. You have to transfer .air into your Il-18D package and replace it. Then copy all notes from my aircraft.cfg and paste into the same file of your package after deleting all sections except [fltsim] notes. That files contain more correct Il-18D and AI-20M dynamics. FS2004/FSX Callsign for LEMR La Morgal, Oviedo (Asturias, Spain) With the appropriate version of EditVoicepack installed (FS2004, FSX, or both), and inside it, you can import and install this file and many others available in the community. In this case, La Morgal will be not longer "LEMR - Lima-Echo-Mike-Romeo", but you'll read "La Morgal" and you'll hear something like [lamor'gal]. By Felix Fernandez de Castro -

Good evening, I recently decided to go ahead and get the SSTSIM Concorde addon as I was looking to challenge myself with something other than the average Boeing or Airbus. However, even after setting up my aircraft for flight correctly, there is one problem which I have consistently faced with this addon. That is this natural tendency for the jet to bank itself to right regardless of fuel management or trim settings. In short, as soon as I let go of the controls and let the airplane go into its natural resting spot in flight, the resting position it finds is one which has about a 5'ish degree right wing down angle to it. Other than that, the aircraft flies and behaves as if nothing is wrong. Only requiring me to to constantly input opposite aileron, (left aileron in this case), to keep the wings level in flight. Akin to what you would be doing in a single engine prop plane. If anyone has encountered this phenomenon or knows how to fix this, or if this is just how Concorde flies, please let me know as I am truly enjoying the challenge that of which the Concorde provides. Thanks!

Having downloaded a few repaints for the fs9 PA A380, I have noticed that several of them come with virtual cockpit textures. However, from what I have found in the library, the only ones which I have seen mention having a VC are ones which use a virtual passenger cabin feature, not an actual virtual cockpit for player/pilot to fly from. Example of this being the fictional Virgin Atlantic PA A380 repaint addon which has VC cockpit textures, but all the models I have found only use a default, Virtual Cabin, or WV(Wing view I presume) model. Any ideas on where I can find the non-virtual cabin VC model for fs9? Thanks! Tristar35 Link to the information I saw indicating that a fs9/fs2004 PA A380 addon existed: https://www.fly-euroharmony.com/forum/index.php?topic=6951.0

As with anything, it wouldn't as enjoyable if everything ran smoothly. Thus, addon scenery is no exception as I relearned this week... Having recalled I always had Bill Melichar's Honolulu addon scenery in my past fs9 installs, I went ahead and downloaded it a normal. However, what I would like to ask for help with is fixing is an apparent frame killing issue, that for some reason now plagues this wonderful addon. In short, what I have found is that anytime the trees which Melichar uses in his Honolulu scenery are visible to the player, the entire sim abruptly drops from around 60fps down to what I am guessing is about 20-24fps. However, as soon as the trees leave the cameras field of view, the issue immediately goes away and fs9 runs great again. As of this time, I have yet to find a way to safely delete the tree textures and the models they are applied to from this addon scenery. I did go ahead and apply the fs9.exe 4gb patch as I thought it might this being absent which was causing the issues, but it has not had any effects both good or bad on the frame rate problem. Therefore, if anyone has any solutions, ideas, or workarounds to this bug, do let me know as even my system now maxed out, this addon makes flying around Honolulu pretty challenging currently. My PC specs for those are wondering: CPU: Intel® Core i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz - 4 Cores GPU: AMD Radeon HD7700 Series with 2048MB of GDDR5 1125 MHz VRAM Storage: 2.0TB HDD - RPM Unknown, (assuming 5400RPM) Memory: 32GB of DDR3-1600hz RAM

Hello fellow pilots. I did notice that I lost 2 Afcad files for these airports. LFKA - Albertville and LFKL - Lyon Brindas. I use FS9 and did search everywhere to repair these airfields but without any luck. It's so outdated that it's hard to find anything for FS9, and I'm aware of this. But I do love this version so much that i refuse to step to another version. So my friendly question would be if there's someone out here that is able to make these 2 afcad files. I appreciate your patience and time if your able too, if nobody can make it I have peace with it.

Hi dear fellow pilots in the virtual skies. In the past few years i noticed that many VA's are born and died again, or a community with 1 - 20 pilots running there VA. The fun is gone if you ask me in a virtual airline, they set high standards for joining them, even exams are obligated before you can fill the form. This is really a joke if you investigate them further. I don't call names because this is not meant for attacking someone, just info. I was scrolling the internet for beautifull liveries and came across a virtual airline that obligate a new user to fill in your email adress where they can send exams too. Well i did this and the questions where way out of MSFS users, I didn't had an issue with that and took the exam. After that i could join them, but i didn't. Why? well if i have to take an exam because they stated to be serious and make there va as real as possible, how can it be that they accept flights where pilots land at -863 too - 1122 fpm. Some staff members don't act on a question and ignore you, or demand that you have teamspeak or something likely, but what if you Englisch language is terrible when you speak it? Like myself, i can use Google to type, but i can't use it to speak, that's why i never fly online, pitty but it's the reality. I'm a proud pilot at Worldwide Virtual because they did stay the same without exclude someone. They prove that making an acars system is still possible for FS9 users, a question is answered within 24 hours or sometimes faster, and the fun remains. Don't get me wrong this is not an attack towards anyone or with angry or bad feeling towards anyone, it's just an wakeup call that everything is dying in our virtual world, once we where glorieus, strong and a family together, now everyone want's too have a va and become the CEO of it, pitty very pitty. Look at WWV, United, Canadian or the official Delta VA, they still remain because they adore there hobby and take there VA serious, I believe United is born in 1997 and very active. So why not follow that example, quit those small VA's, and those stupid entry exams and build a good, strong VA for all versions of MSFS, get rid of too many VA's without fun. It's just how i feel about it so don't get mad please.

i found this issue and verified it thru AITM2. it seems i have 2 aircraft models that are showing as in my aircraft folder when they are actually not. this is causing me not to able to add any more repaints of said aircraft. does anyone know how i could fix this? i have completely removed the aircraft folder from FS9 so no aircraft should show up. using aitm 2 it shows there are 2 aircraft folders it recognizes. opening aircraft.cfg file of each aircraft thru aitm 2 also show there is nothing there.

Hello fellow pilots, I have since 3 days a major issue with my weather engine from HiFi active sky Evolution. Whatever i do, i got always the message that my clock is set into the future and therefore the engine isn't able to give real time weather. I've installed SP5 because that should solve this issue, but without luck. Second i cleared the browser but also without luck. So i switched to the weather engine from REX overdrive, but also no real time weather availlable. I did follow severall stepps mentioned in the world of google but nothing works on both weather engines. Now i'll hope someone around here can give me a solution on this issue, because this isn't funny anymore. And yes i know FS2004 is heavy outdated but i just love this version very much. Thank you friends for reading this and willing to help an old pilot in need lol.
