How To Land an Airplane in Crosswinds, Forward and Side Slips By thecorporatepilotdad Landing an airplane is by far one of the most difficult tasks when learning to fly. As a professional pilot and former CFI with nearly 2,000 hours of dual instruction given, this breakdown of how to land an airplane shows intentional slips, roundout/flare, and touchdown. Crosswind corrections are shown with a crosswind from the right throughout the video. The crab method, side slip, and forward slips are demonstrated to show how to counteract the effects of a crosswind, along with how to lose altitude without increasing airspeed. Due to a sim issue, the flaps became stuck which brought up a situation for learning. Considerations are discussed in the event of the same situation happening while flying in real life. If interested in aviation podcasts, please take a listen to The Corporate Pilot Guys Podcast which I am a co-host of. Myself and the other co-host are both professional pilot who have currently fly business jets and we've both flown various types of jet aircraft over the last 20 years. We talk about current events, failures, training, written tests, and so much more. Episodes also include ATC tips given by Air Traffic Controllers as well as aircraft buying tips from an aircraft broker (McGill Aviation). I developed combat style foot rests for MFG Crosswind rudder pedals, which allow for a much more precise and realistic 'heel on the floor' control. They come with re-enforcement mounting plates, braking spring adjusters, new spring tension wheel, are adjustable in width and height, and even damper mounts for main axis and brake damping. Compatible with all versions of MFGs. 75$ with free shipping on the webshop: https://www.combatpedals.com/

Nothing serious/realistic but just a mess around video in the F-15 with 100 knots of wind if you want to watch it! Proves exactly why you should always take-off/land into the wind
