/images/notams/notams18/a2a1127.jpgA2A Dynamic Rain Effects Released for Developers for Free We have developed this physics based rain effect for our own P3Daircraft software. It was first released as a feature of theAccu-sim Bonanzasimulation. This was then followed by ourAccu-sim P-40where the effect really shines thanks to the aerobatic nature of awarbird. We are now adding it to our whole P3D fleet for ourcustomers for free. In order to give back to the community and our fellow developers weare happy to give the effect for other payware and freeware developersto use as they see fit in there own products. Licensing included inthe documentation. Source

/images/notams/notams18/mkst0824.jpgNew rain effects in action! Let's have a moment and think about rain reflections in a littlebit different way. We decided to recreate precipitation effectrealistically, where water may accumulate and make surfaces morereflective. Another special thing is runway lightning. Did you know that mostof the pilots in Lisbon ask ATC to dim the runway lights? We decidedto implement them the way they're used in the real life. /images/notams/notams18/mkst0824.pngDid you also know that edge (blue) lights are not powered? They'rereflective to the airplane lights only. Let's keep energy usage low.Don't be surprised if the airport is not very bright at night! You'llsee them close to your airplane only. And the last tip for you. In real life only three holding points arelightened. These happen to be HS, S1 and HN. Don't be surprised ifothers are off... Yes, we simulated them. And yes, they will changecolor to green when you approach to them and want to enter therunway. Source
