/images/notams/notams20/vsky0120.jpgVSKYLABS CTLS pilots! The VSKYLABS Flight Design CTLS Project wasjust updated! Current version is now v1.15. It is a minor update - a SlipIndicator was added. The Slip Indicator is not existing in thewhole-glass cockpit panels of the real CTLS, as it is having asynthetic display embedded in the glass cockpit elements. The VSL CTLS is equipped with an improved-classic cockpit panelwhich has optional glass cockpit element however it was not indicatingside-slip... With this update, a physical slip indicator was installed into thecockpit, to allow side-slip indication for both the classic and the*improved* cockpit configurations. The update was injected via the STMA autoupdater. Simply load theaircraft, let it update, and reload it so it would have effect, andyou're done! Project Page

/images/notams/notams19/vsky0801.jpgThe VSKYLABS Flight Design CTLS Project...adding some nuances... Compact checklist was gently taped behind the left-hand-folding sunvisor. This minor, yet useful "feature" was added so that"complete-flight-VR-testing" would be carried without the hassle ofusing anything to follow the checklists, during development. It wasproved as an absolute pleasure in VR operations, and most chances thatit will be kept taped to the visor in the release version. The sun-visors are of course interactive, and can be folded andunfolded, separately, on the fly. The attached screen shot is showing the visors as they are lowereddown, and the compact checklist which will soon have a minor makeoverto set it up with an appropriate quality (typos, etc.). Source

/images/notams/notams19/vsky0619.jpgOK! A first look into the evolving VSKYLABS Flight Design CTLSProject. It is a completely separated development effort from theVSKYLABS CTSW Project, however, both projects are designed andengineered to share the same development resources, as much aspossible. The Flight Design CTLS was the next step in the 'CT' seriesevolution, improving the CTSW in several areas. Upgrades included anew landing gears design, improved cabin design, fuel system,re-designed wing tips and it is a bit heavier. The CTLS has aside/back window on each side, and a small compartment space withinthe cabin, behind the seats. In general, it is a bit more stable androbust than the CTSW. As noted previously, the VSKYLABS Flight Design CTSW and CTLSProject initial variants are equipped with the 'CT Classic' baseinstrument panel, which is featuring VFR analog gauges, along with anightflight package, Garmin GPS, radio and transponder. Final avionicsconfiguration is still under evaluation and will be determined soonfor both projects. Glass cockpit - the VSL CTSW will remain with the 'Classic' VFRanalog panel, while the VSL CTLS is scheduled for glass cockpitimplementation down the development road, and it may be released withtwo sets of panels. This will be determined soon. The projects are designed for VR, intended to use the originalAircraft Operating Instructions as the practical pilot operations andinstructions manual: CTSW (CTSW / CTSW-2006 / CTSW Classic / CTSW Advanced)CTLS (CTLS-LSA 2012 Edition)Stay tuned for more!
