westway
Recently I purchased a new PC (MSI) for gaming that I only use for FSX, it also has Windows 11 installed. Among the many items I have installed with FSX I have Ultimate Traffic 2. Recently I noticed that all the aircraft I have installed in FSX now have a minimum of 2 CFG. Files, i.e., Regular CFG and another, (aircraft.cfg.fsf_VFX_PFX), also included. Is this a result of Ultimate Traffic?
il88pp
Those files end with .fsf_VFX_PFX So they are not .cfg files. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Luke
They probably are, just with a different extension. Cheers
f16jockey_2
Those files are backup files of aircraft.cfg, made by "some" addon installer. They reflect how the .cfg file looked before the installer did his thing. They will most probably be used again by the uninstaller of that same addon. By studiously comparing the .cfg and the .cfg.fsf_VFX_PFX files, one might be able to determine what installer created these files. Looking at the extension, one might suspect it has something to do with effects. As the file isn't just plainly called aircraft.cfg, it isn't treated as such by the sim.
