retpgmr
I'm hoping to purchase X-Plane 12 to be used on my Mac Studio with Apple M1 Max chip, running macOS Monterey 12.6. I need to purchase a new flight sim yoke that will work successfully on a Mac Studio. I've searched the internet and have been reading conflicting information as to what yokes work with Mac Studio & macOS. Is anyone on this forum using a yoke on a Mac? If so, what yoke(s) would you recommend for purchase? Thanks.
gkralston
My direct experience: CH Products yoke works on Mac. Honeycomb alpha yoke works on Mac. Very nice yoke. Velocity One from Turtle Beach does NOT work on Mac. I ordered a new Honeycomb Alpha XPC and will report on Mac compatibility when I receive it. https://flyhoneycomb.com/products/alpha-flight-controls-xpc
retpgmr
I live in US. I checked Amazon for the yoke you ordered. The following is a quote from the Amazon page - " Compatibility Alert This product has not been produced specifically for the US. Some features and content, including online or multi-player gameplay, may not be available to US customers. Please check compatibility before purchasing. This product is sold and shipped from the UK, customs cleared and delivered straight to you." This worries me.
Insertmyname
https://www.pilotmall.com/ I purchased an Alpha and Bravo unit. I have flown both on my M1 Mini without issue. Mac Studio arrives in 3 days and will be my dedicated platform.
