KIAH26L
I downloaded and one of the Toposim scenery products but can't seem to get it to work. I installed the scenery into its own folder under Program Files > Lockheed Martin, but outside of the P3D root folder, and it won't work. Does anyone know how to get their scenery products to work / where to install them? I see the file in its own folder in Explorer but that's all. I am not getting any support from Toposim. Thanks! willy647
If you install scenery outside the Prepa3d folder, you need to put a xml file in C:\Users\[your user name]\Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons Normally you get the xml file with the download. You probably need to edit the file to point to the folder where you installed the scenery
jorgen.s.andersen
Just remember that if you need to edit an .xml file, you cannot use Notepad or similar text editors. Use Notepad++ (free) or similar. Jorgen
KIAH26L
Thank you much for your feedback. The Toposim install evidently did not give me that xml file, for whatever reason...? How do I put an xml file in the "C:\Users\[your user name]\Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons", and how do I edit the file to point to its folder (assuming this is not to complicated to explain here)? willy647
Use the free Lorby Prepar3D Addon Organizer from this site https://www.lorby-si.com/downloads.html It will create the xml file for you. Download the documentation on how to do it
