ColR1948 Posted December 22, 2021 Share Posted December 22, 2021 Yet another aircraft built by Dave Molyneaux, the Avro Avian, Dave's comments: The first Avian was built in 1926 for an air race. It was fitted with a new small Armstrong Siddeley Genet engine of 75 hp.. Subsequently the aircraft was put into production in various forms with a range of power units, mainly Cirrus. They achieved a number of successes including a solo flight from England to Australia, a light aircraft height record of 19,200 ft and winner of the Kings Cup air race by Mrs Brown.
