elwood924
Ive been out of the PC game for some years and looking for some help. This is what I currently have my eye on. https://www.newegg.com/skytech-st-arch3-0-0056-ne-archangel/p/N82E16883289049 Please let me know if this will be fine. Im not needing it to run ultra settings, but would like to be on the higher end for sure. Thanks for any help in advance. Also, feel free to send me any links of something in the same price range. stusue
If u look at the Microsoft Flight Simulator website you'll see that for optimal enjoyment you'll need 32 gigs of ram and u should have a 1 terabyte hardrive at least since the game will want to cache your favourite sceneries. So basically u need a decent CPU but 32 gigs of ram lots of SSD hardrive space and 8 gigs of video memory. Sorry for the bad news. Disneyflyer
Hiya Elwood. I was just like you. Wanted a good machine that would run it with no problems. I got one from Micro Center that I built myself. Here are my specs. I7-9700 3.6ghz z390 E Rog Strix Gaming Intel 1151 ATX Motherboard Geforce RTX 2070 Super XC Ultra Gaming Overclocked Dual Fan 8GM GDDR6 Ripjaws V 32gb (2x16gb) DDR4-3200 PC4-25600 CL16 H510 Tempered Glass ATX Mid Tower Focus Plus 650 Watt 80 Plus Gold Power Supply 1TB SSD 3d NAND M.2 2280 PCIe NVME 3.0 x4 Internal ICUE H100I RGB Pro XT 240mm Water Cooling Kit Microsoft Windows 10 64 Drive out price was just under 2,000.00 with TT&L. Very happy with it. I loaded Flight Sim up on the first day and everything was pegged to High. I dont have 4k monitor so Im not really worried about Ultra High Settings. Getting great FPS and am loving it. Now if i can just get the damn AutoThrottle to stop engaging on the A320 NEO, things would be just grand!! glossopj
I have an i7 version of the Acer Nitro 5 with 16 gig of RAM, and am getting good frame rates so far. I have another 16gig of RAM on order, but for now, it's fine. Perhaps the 2TB SSD that I'm using for all FS related storage helps somewhat? Stevemill
Hi My feeling is 32gb RAM is very highly desirable as is a 1 or 2tb SSD to install it on. That would allow to to download and cache high res scenery for your favourite areas. It wouldn’t hurt to have an R7. I would certainly look to have a 2tb standard HDD to put all your non MFS stuff on. MFS is going to be a long term game and you want to leave it plenty of room to grow.
