bermershof
After I have bought a new computer, I (re)installed my FS2004 and FSX simulators. Everything worked perfectly except the activation of real weather (in FS2004 and FSX). Reinstalling several times gives no solution. Everytime the flightsim-program gives the message that there is something wrong with my internet connnection. An internet specialist checked my internet and his conclusion is: nothing wrong with the internet conection. Who can help me so that I can use real weather again? TheAwesomeCobra
I get a similar issue. Along with the real world weather problem, my (FSX) home screen shows the steam edition logo and says something about not connected to the internet. Multiplayer, Firefox, etc. work fine. il88pp
The site that provided the real world wweather either is no more or has now a different adress. So fsx can't download that weather any more. Use a freeware or payware weather addon instead. There are plenty of those. The "home" screen used to just show a website as well. FSinsider.com When steam bought the right to sell copies of Microsoft Flight simulator X, the webadress FSinsider.com changed. It no longer has the FSInsider tips and tricks on it. It now is a referral page that links to the Steam home page instead. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
