Charlie Golf7
Hello All , Retired now and more time to Sim (read: thinks slower now, so "more time" is the operative). Just starting out with simple XML gauge work ; or so I thought . . . If this has already been discussed here, my humble apologies for not yet finding it. Under FS9 am perplexed by the failure of this :-> (A:TOTAL WEIGHT PITCH MOI,slug feet squared) Works perfectly in FSX as part of a string line though and isn't plane dependent. Have in vain tried various combinations of units too. Appreciate any thoughts? cg -*(-)*- , --(*)--
PhantomTweak
It may have been added to FSX, after FS9 came out. Thus, the FSX engine can interpret it, but the FS9 can't. There are 2 different XML syntax, one for FSX, one for FS9. The two can't be mixed up. Most of the syntax that is specifically made for FS9 will probable work flawlessly in FSX, but not the other way round. Thus, your (A:TOTAL WEIGHT PITCH MOI,slug feet squared) variable is perfectly valid in FSX, but not FS9. Does this help?
