Some joysticks (controllers) work best if you work all the axis' (up/down/right/left/rudder/throttle) when you first load sim and before you take off. Read it somewhere. I have a joy that after I load the C-172 (default flight) that when touched will go cause full throttle. I hit 'cut' and that is it. Hey the Sim / controllers / drivers are not perfect sometimes. What you see is what you get and you can't have everything! Stay calm. Rule with your mind not your feet (hehe).
