tgon
Hi Flying just south of Quito this morning and noticed writing on the ground. Spring has sprung but I think something is amiss! FSX-SE with Orbx FTX Global loaded and updated yesterday. Help appreciated. :) Best, Phil https://www.facebook.com/groups/UKdirect/
pvarn
You can use the scenery library to enable/disable scenery for this area and place your aircraft there again. If confirmed Global is at fault, you should make the case with their tech support. There will be no user fix you can do other than enable/disable or getting a replacement file from the source. -Pv- 2 carrot salad, 10.41 liter bucket, electric doorbell, 17 inch fan, 12X14, 85 Dbm
CRJ_simpilot
That would be due to ORBX. For best support I would chime in on their forum. OOM errors? Read this. What the squawk? An awesome weather website with oodles of Info. and options. Wile E. Coyote would be impressed.
longbreak754
+1 on it being a ORBX issue.... It is probably related to the how you have your scenery listed in the priority list - certain types of scenery must be placed in a certain order within the priority list to work correctly with other scenery. This not only relates to 'specialist' packages like ORBX but to all scenery in general. For example, any scenery package for an airport that includes dedicated separate folders for the airport and the landclass area must be listed correctly in the priority listing - in this case the landclass folder must be below the airport folder. If the landclass folder is above the airport folder then you will either get no visible airport features (runways, buildings, etc), floating airport features, missing area 'tiles' (i.e. squares with no textures), spurious items like in your pic or a combination of all of these errors. I don't have ORBX but do remember reading about a similar issue a fair while back and it was resolved by changing the listing. IIRC certain parts of the ORBX stuff (like the Global Library, Vector base pack, LC packs and the main base pack) all have to be in a set order...….. I had also recently installed FS Realtime and Timezone Fixer, both wanting to claim top spot. When I moved the Orbx Global Libs back to number one, then the problem remedied itself. Thanks for all these great replies. I shall read up more on the scenery folder as I've never quite understood the sense of order. Always appreciate the kind folk on these forums.
