jparnold
I have found an airport (XP 10.5) which does not have a navaid (NDB) yet one exists in the real world. Is it possible to add this navaid and if so where. I am now thinking that perhaps XP uses the NAVAIDS file located in RESOURCES/GNS430/NAVDATA folder. Is that correct? If so I need to understand all the parameters for each line (navaid) so that I can manually add one eg the one for YSRI NDB is - RIC,RICHMOND,347.000,0,0,195,-33.596931,150.776397,0,YM,0 The first parameters are obvious (to me) and parameters 7 and 8 are the geo coordinates. I think perhaps parameters 4 and 5 denote the navaid type and parameter 6 is the range and parameter 9 is the elevation but not sure. What about the others? I could not find any documentation about this. jparnold
I think I have found the way to do this. By editing and adding a relevant line to the EARTHNAV.DAT file in CUSTOM DATA folder. Seems maybe I have found something that no one else knew about?
