mauser3
If a country is covered with a 19m mesh, is there any reason for additional layers of 76m and 38m? What is the mesh coverage ( lod or meter) for Europe in FS GLOBAL 2010 for fs2004?
1biggles1
This is the document for FS global 10 hope it helps, http://www.fsim.net/files/INSIDE_FSGLOBAL_2010.pdf As far as I understand FS9 mesh, Flightsim will load the most detailed mesh available so no need to worry about any other mesh installed with other addons. I have had Global 10 and since 2010 and have wrote The Natural World scenery with it installed, to give the peaks a bit more of a jaggered look try my FS9.cfg tweaks found on my web site, Two X2 teaks listed below [TERRAIN] TERRAIN_TEXTURES_scale=2.0 /// increases the texture detail TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL=23 // Normally 21 for 1mt mesh mine is 25 for the small enhancement TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL scale=2.0 Howard Web : http://biggles11.wix.com/the-natural-world Mail : biggles11@btinternet.com Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100004916148824 (Sorry No Friends please)
StringBean
Actually there is a good reason to have multiple resolutions of mesh installed. FS displays the highest res available in a small area around your plane. To conserve computing resources, as you look further away from your plane you will see lower res rings displayed, like ripples in a pond after you throw a rock into it. Without those "buffer' mesh resolutions available you can sometimes see blueish silver streaks in the mesh where it jumps from a high res to a low res. Of course, if you never see those streaks then you do not need the buffer mesh. If you do see them, at least you will now know why. peace, the Bean WWOD---What Would Opa Do? StringBean
TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL=23 // Normally 21 for 1mt mesh mine is 25 for the small enhancement FS9 recognizes 19, 20, and 21 for that parameter, anything else is ignored. peace, the Bean WWOD---What Would Opa Do?
