I watched a couple of tutorial approach videos, to one of the most difficult airports in the world and gave it a go with the Quality Wings, Bae 146. Bit of a hard touchdown, but it was a first go and all the passengers lived. Join at VOR 108.4 @ 13,500' confirm visual runway and descend to overfly @ 11,500'. Maintain alt. and fly up valley on left. Turn 210 deg right and reduce alt to no less than. 9,000'. Follow river to monastery. Turn right and follow road to white house. Turn left onto runway 15.

Nicely done...even on a clear day! Now try it when the weather is crappy. That'll get your heart rate up :) Enjoyed the video :)

Thanks.

I love this BAe 146 and it's the ideal plane to hone the skills at this interesting airport. I've introduced some mist and cloud and gradually working up to the A310, which is giving me stress on final, but you need to remain VFR to keep it realistic.

Sweaty crack stuff indeed. :D

I took you're advice and dialed in some stormy weather.

Runway in sight, cleared for descent.

Over the airfield, turn left up the valley, viz looks bad..

End of the valley, start a 210 deg. turn.

After a close encounter with the mountain, I pop out under the murk, 400' AGL. and face the 20 kt crosswind.

Landed safely, but my passengers were a bit shaky, (and me).

Using the 146 ability to approach Paro's runway 33, at a steep angle, arriving at dawn, on a flight from Gelphu. Quality Wings BAe 146 Collection. Bhutan airports and Paro Valley, by Carlyle Sharpe. 146 @ 90,000 lbs.
