peugeot309style
Hi, Just had a major laptop crash - FS2004 used to be on it :( Taoshiba Lappy W7 caught in an infinite loop. I;ve treied all the recovery options (safe mode/auto repair ... everything) but nothing works - even safe mode goes back into the loop. The DVD drive is recognised in the BIO, but I cant boot into the drive as it isnt recognised on restart - just the HDD and LAN in the menu - no CD/DVD Drive. CCant even get to recover from the preinstalled recovery software on drive D. So thats it - an endless loop and no access to anything. Is it a dump in the bin and buy a new one? I appreciate you help and support. Thanks
il88pp
Not for the faint of heart. Never did this myself. But looks like an option: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/139576-startup-repair-infinite-loop-recovery.html [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
peugeot309style
I'll look into it again. BTW, laptop is a Toshiba Satellite L500-1XL. In the meantime, any other tips?

But looks like an option: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/139576-startup-repair-infinite-loop-recovery.html Good news! System recovered. Thanks for posting the link. The standard Windows recovery options all failed, but the Advanced option had a Toshiba recovery selection that enabled me to restore the computer - at least I dont need a new laptop.
