757 Fanatic
Hi. I've been using windows 7 but would like to install windows 8 so I can get the free upgrade when windows 10 is released. I know there is compatibility issues with FSX and windows 8, but some people have said that FSX works on windows 8. And will FSX run on windows 10 when it's released? 757 Fanatic
Windows 7 users are going to get the upgrade. Stick with Win 7. Windows 7 came pre-installed on my PC, so I'm not eligible for the upgrade. The steam edition of FSX will support windows 8 though right?
W2DR
You will get the free upgrade. Stay with Windows 7. And never forget, be very careful when "upgrading" to any even-numbered version of Windows. Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.0 Ghz, Asus Maxumus XII Hero MB, Noctua NH-U12A Cooler, Corsair Vengence Pro 32GB 3200Mhz, Geforce RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, and other good stuff. jorgen.s.andersen
And the thing is, FSX has been running very well for me under both Win 8 and 8.1 for over a year and a half. But I do agree that you should stick with 7, you will get the free upgrade. And Windows 10 is really Windows 9 renamed..... Jorgen
