Is this a persistant problem? Do you have the latest version of Pete Dowson's FSUIPC installed? http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html ...Don

First Time ever. Only happened the one time. I was closing and opening the program a lot doing some modifications on a panel and had Active Sky running. Have had a lot of CTD's in my day but this was a first. I have FSUIPC. The latest version. Looked up the error on line as well. Seems like a one time deal.

A crash once in a while when closing the program is nothing you can do about and no harm. FSX was not coded or tested to run on Win7 or 8.

I just looked at my FSUICP and I have 4.934 I believe and just downloaded the 4.938. Would this have anythig to do with it and showed I update my FSUIPC?

You have already started another thread on this same topic.

https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?286786-Fatal-Error-on-Exit

The proper way to continue discussion on a topic is to post a new message in it, not start a new one on the same topic.

Normally I'd agree, but, in this case the other thread does not have a known "faulting module". The causes for crashes of that type are numerous.

This thread has a known cause, "Faulting module name: g3d.dll".

FSUIPC is known to prevent most of those.

From Microsoft...many, many, moons ago:

G3d.dll is the three-dimensional portion of the graphics engine used in Flight Simulator.

It contains the BGL interpreter for Flight Simulator.

A badly coded scenery, or, cruddy texture, can both also be a cause.

Mixing "fixes" for the unkown, vs the known, would only cause confusion...Don
