DukeSan27
This is the scenery for Bangalore International Airport - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kempegowda_International_Airport. The main terminal is as accurate as I could make it. Rest of the objects are stock objects. The ILS/NAV frequencies are accurate. Parking locations are not accurate as per the actual Airport. Feedback / Comments welcome. Please visit my blog in case you are not able to comment here - http://thingsrandom2014.blogspot.in/2015/01/fsxp3d-freeware-airport-bangalore.html. The following tools were used to make it: SketchUp for terminal design GIMP / VS 2013 for Textures Instant Scenery / AFX / Airport Studio for Airport design ModelConvertorX for adjustments Usage Rights: One or more textures on this 3D model have been created with images from CGTextures.com. How to Install: Extract the zip to Addon Scenery directory (e.g. Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Addon Scenery\). You should then have a VOBL_DUKE sub-folder inside. flightsim99
Looks breathtaking! I have landed at VOBL countless times, and the terminal in this scenery is very accurate! However, could you tell me why there is a little extension off of the main terminal building? There is the curved roof terminal, but connected is a rectangular building that does not exist in real life. Also, I'm getting some weird textures on the scenery. For example, the apron is covered in grass terrain, and the fence is crossing into the runway. I had one suggestion. This is the VOBL scenery that I currently use: http://ivao.in/download/vobl/ It is very realistic, but the main terminal is not as realistic as yours :) Otherwise, though, I would like to suggest that updates to your scenery would include the other aprons at Bengaluru and some of the realistic lighting that the above scenery includes. Response would be much appreciated. Thank you for your work!
DukeSan27
Thanks for the feedback! The building on the left side, extending from the main terminal has been there for a while, even before the main terminal was expanded. Has it gone in the recent months? I'll have a look at the other scenery. flightsim99
I'm sorry, I was actually mistaken. That extension is accurate. The scenery that I have for some reason did not include that :( Thank you for taking the time to respond. I would also like to post this video, since it gives a great view of the Bengaluru airport. aaryan2000
The colour of grass is not that green but your terminal and everything is very good and exactly accurate. I work at VOBL and I would like to ask is there anyway I can make the grass natural green?
flightsim99
Hello again, sir! Have you had the time to update the airport to include some of the other buildings that are there in real life? While the terminal building is far better than the other sceneries I have seen, the scenery I currently use has all of the other buildings and is more detailed in some ways. Thank you!
