I bought the Standard version through Microsoft Store about 4 months ago, and have had frustrating problems most of the time.
I normally start from the end of the runway with engines running, flying the Bulldog. The first problem was that the engine cut whenever I closed the throttle, in the air, and on the ground. Reading the forums, it was suggested that isolating Auto Mixture Control in the Assistance Options.
I also isolated Auto Rudder, and deleted the Mean Ground Level settings on the weather page in order to improve the takeoff phase, and also smooth out flying conditions in the circuit area.
This certainly helped initially, but then for no specific reason I found that one division of flap had been selected prior to takeoff, and if I selected them up, they would cycle up, and the return to one division down. If I selected them down, they would cycle fully down, and the return to one division down.
At this stage I decide to uninstall MSFS, and carry out a reinstall. The flap problem was resolved, but the engine stopping when the throttles were closed was still evident, and additionally when I initiated takeoff after my normal start on the runway threshold, I found that elevator trim was fully nose down, without any selection by me.
Could I just point out that I had a 43 year career as a military pilot from 1949/57, and as a commercial pilot from 1957/1992. I will be 91 next week.
I still fly very happily with P3Dv4, but feel very frustrated at the moment with MSFS.
Is there anyone out there who can suggest a way of solving things, I believe that MSFS has the potential to be a great success with serious flight siimmers
