same with the download version, if you want to save disk space you can select to only install specific areas. Run the installer again to change the selection.
XP11 is definitely a world better than XP10, the difference in flight modelling is far greater than between 11 and 12 (it just needed less tweaking).
XP12 has far better lighting and scenery, but that does come at the cost of higher hardware requirements.
If you're downloading aircraft ostensibly for XP11 made by aerosimgamer (or whatever the name is) they're not aircraft for XP11. They're XP8 and 9 aircraft that were simply loaded into planemaker and saved as XP11 aircraft without any work to make them properly work.
That doesn't work, period. But that's not stopping the guy (guess he likes seeing his name a lot in the file libraries both here and at other sites where he also uploads them).
SOME XP10 native aircraft will work without major work, many will not.
And for some reason there haven't been a lot of native XP11 aircraft released, and even less as freeware.
Too busy doing other things to even have FS installed on my new computer (old one literally blew up, sparks shooting out of the back a while ago, overheating combined with a short in the videocard).
