  1. thanks Zoo, As I wrote above, I have been very busy with my VA DC3Airways....with three or four MPs each week. Anything more than that, and I am looking at divorce court...:-). Seriously, I don't know that I will have much time to fly with you on MP, but, I will fly your routes as time and circumstance permit. Thanks. Sherm
  2. This is from the A2A forums....a short course on using the AP In the most basic terms: - The autopilot is powered using the avionics master switch like the rest of the radio stack. - The rotary knob adjusts the preset altitude/altitude alerter and can be used when the autopilot isn't engaged (e.g. on the ground). - When trimmed for a 'hands-off' climb, descent or in level flight, press the AP button for 0.25 secs to engage the autopilot. - Default mode is ROL (wings level) and VS (current vertical speed will be held as long as it's within the aircraft's capability). - Press ARM to arm capture of the preset altitude. - Press the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the vertical speed in VS mode. - Press ALT to toggle between altitude hold and vertical speed hold modes. - Press HDG to capture and hold the heading represented by the heading bug. For more advanced modes such as NAV and APP as well as other details, best to check out the manual as there are some differences depending on whether you use the default heading indicator or the optional HSI (under the shift + 3 menu). 3. Hi Everyone, Until reading the post today at Flightsim.com, I had not heard of your website and bush flying projects. To be honest, as much as I would like to join one of your MPs, the flight times do not work for me, or conflict with MP flights at my VA, dc3airways.net. But, I do enjoy bush flying and tackled one of your flight plans which I loaded from Skyvector into Little Nav Map. When flying single engine, I normally pilot the A2A Cessna 182. But, I figured I would need something more nimble, so got into the left hand seat of my Mooney Bravo inside P3D V5.1. This was a hoot, twisting and turning over and around peaks, following a winding river, and enjoying spectacular scenery. Active Sky live weather gave me a beautiful environment. Bottom line is that while I may not fly with you as a group, I do want to express a grateful thank your for having access to your flight plans. Sherm
  4. I agree that P3D V4.5 is just about perfect. It may not have all the eye candy of MSFS, but it does not come with the headaches and setup difficulties that are part and parcel of MSFS. Sherm
  5. Hi all, If you want the VA experience, but something other than the usual tubeliners, then http://www.dc3airways.net is perfect for you. We are open to all flight sim platforms and will train beginners as well as having plenty of challenging activities for more experienced pilots. Here is what flying for DC3 AIRWAYS is like Sherman Kaplan DIRECTOR PR DC3AIRWAYS
  6. HI Ken, this is a great idea....thanks for this gift. Like you, I still have several of Gullick's books and have flown a mission or two from time to time. This could make it more up to date and enjoyable. Again, thanks Shermank

  10. Hi Sherm, how's things?
  11. sorry...I did not mean you...I was referring to the person who started the thread, asked his question and did not seem reasonable in his responses...

  12. Hello, just wondering whether or not you would like to join All About Airbus-it's my new Social Group. Just visit my profile page to join. I hope you accept! :)
  13. I'll only be your friend if you tell me why you think Boeing 767 was rude to you and why you think I sound like a 12 year old!
  14. that is exactly what I am doing. As I posted after trying to help, I'm outta here...

btw, lest you think I'm some kind of a crank, do a search for my posts. I have asked for help, and in turn I have given help and assistance within my knowledege area...all of it done wiithout rancor or sarcasm.

  15. Maybe you should just leave Boeing 767 alone instead of making him even more frustrated!
