They make the cities appear as they would in over-exposed or touched-up images, not how they would actually appear in real life. That is the only thing to consider really. If you like how they look, go for it

there might also be a power issue - at sea level you still cant redline the rpms

I let it roll to 70 before pulling back on the stick. Trim seemed way down by default also, found notching it next to the "R" on the label worked well. Cruising at ~9,000' (we are over Yellowstone so just 1-2k AGL) I got up to ~110kts but heading in a diff direction later on I couldn't push past 80kts in level flight. So maybe wind - this thing is easily blown around I have learned from previous flights. It can also just take a long time to really build up speed in level flight after climbing and loves to nose up so staying level and building speed can mean lots of attention to the VS indicator and constant trim application. Anyways like I said, I had no trouble flying it and even got a super slick buttery landing that barely registered on Landing Inspector

there could be something off after SU7 but I don't know what. I just flew the Orbx Optica yesterday and it was just fine for me but my friend with the exact same plane was having similar problems as you and couldn't take off. He tried starting airborne and said it was spinning out of control. Might be a control mapping issue? Need to reset your sensitivity? My friend was too annoyed to troubleshoot (he's almost ready to quit MSFS with all the trouble it's been giving him) but if you manage to get it sorted please post what you did!

yea sure there are only 4 plane classes that are made up of the same model of plane but the *actual plane models*?? All individualized!! Performance, textures, interior... $60 is a freaking bargain are you kidding me?
That said, I won't be buying it cause I don't have a need to fly 40 diff planes :P so yea the price is great for the whole package but hopefully they also see sense in allowing you to purchase them individually to pick the ones you *actually* want to fly in certain classes

I've had these pedals for6 or 7 years and use them most days they worked well with FSX and are working just as well for msfs they're easy to set up and comfortable to use I wouldn,t hesitate to reccomend them to anyone
can second this. At least that old if not older for me and never a single issue through FSX and MSFS and even other games I've used them like ARMA3 and... forget what driving game but as brake/gas pedals

This map has them all and more info on landmarks and such https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1KUg5jwyT_9k2A9n5IZ99UChlhfVUfO5S&usp=sharing

it was just announced to be 7/27

has similar maps to Windy (tho strangely not in wind speed knots) and is the same weather MSFS bases off of - tho this doesn't guarantee exact conditions, I have found them to be close enough for my VFR flight planning. Especially useful are the cloud diagrams

do NOT use a huge cache unless you have bandwidth limitations! If you pay extra for large bandwidth usage or have a bandwidth cap then a large cache is essential to keep your bills in check. However if you don't have bandwidth limitations keep the cache small - 6-8GB is what I like. Reason being is that the larger the cache the longer it will take for the program to find and fetch the data it needs. At some point this could actually become slower than streaming it :P

I like the raw one better

Oddly no mention in the patch notes - makes you wonder what else they forgot to include?
-
*shrug* they look fine and generic to me. personal issues will reflect on things like this a lot. Impossible to please everyone (I say this as a black/asian/european mutt)

I haven't bothered really reading anything except the title however I just want to point anyone who doesn't know to No Man's Sky as a shining example of how a developer can turn a product around. Let's all give Asobo a chance and consider our initial purchase a long-term investment

Smudges on my windshield! Totally unflyable ;)

True, cockpit diagrams I found online indicate that turning the knob that is present in the sim which IS rotationally functional 'should' increase/decrease the brightness of the overhead floodlight, but at present it does nothing. Without a dimming capability night flying is like driving at night with your interior dome lights on. Great for seeing inside but not so great for viewing outside.
Ah, you need the C152x realism mod then: https://github.com/DRF30q/C152X

I just turn on the dome light when needed. Perfectly flyable at night I've had no issues. There's literally no switch for instrument lights

doubt this will ever be easy thanks to achievements. The logbook is just a visual representation of what MSFS is tracking towards achievements and if it were easy to edit people would be giving themselves hours and such to earn them. Best to just keep your own anyways as a good pilot habit
