  1. When I read "deploying", I think you rather mean the spoilers, not the autobreak? Or not?

    What's the 767 addon btw?

    Wim

no by autobrake i mean the brakes really they will engage in whatever setting they are at RTO 1, 2 or 3

i'm using the payware lds 767

also do you know what damping ratio (in the contact points) does? and can u give me some examples?

  2. That's good.

Just an idea: if you move those contactpoints a bit apart laterally you'd get two separate touch-down tire smokes as well?

    Wim

i think so but now i'm having a problem with the autobrake not deploying, it deploys on touchdown but stops working 3 seconds later do you know anything i could do?

great it seems like autobrake doesnt work if there is more than 3 contact points for landing gear :( ill have to look for something

  3. It not simple.

IMO one needs to know the actual gear animation's full compression and full extension values.

That's all written into the model. If you don't have the model itself, it's all trial and error.

Anyway, I used following document for a simple C140 model I'm making myself (a 5 year project I'm afraid :o), and I found it to be quite useful.

Maybe it helps in understanding the relations between the different parameters.

i think i fixed it by just copying and pasting the gear contact points so there is 2 contact points for the 1 landing gear in the same position and that seemed to make the plane more resistant to sinking because of additional weight which fixed my problem where with the plane fully loaded the plane would sink and with a bit of fuel the plane would float on the runway and i also had to increase static compression a bit

  4. I got this 767 addon and i'm trying to make the landing gear tilt perfectly into the runway so i lowered the gear contact points and increased static compression so it doesn't float when fully compressed but when i increase the fuel to 100% the gear wheels sink into the runway when fully compressed and this would not happen with the default contact points is there anyway i can make the gear not to sink so much when adding more weight?
  5. Classic "I want 350 KIAS, no matter what altitude I'm at."

Sadly, many don't realize the KIAS above about 18000' MSL is never the same. Temperature, pressure, humidity, there are a ton of factors that affect KIAS. THAT's why you use Mach above 18000', not KIAS. That is a more useful, accurate, measure of how much air is flowing over the aircraft.

Plane requires M0.80, to fly properly, and efficiently, then it requires M0.80, not 289 KIAS, or 1,050 KIAS or whatever. M0.80 is M0.80 regardless of altitude, humidity, or whatever. KIAS changes with a change in any factor involved.

That's why modern aircraft use Mach above 18000' MSL, not KIAS. As long as the plane maintains the correct Mach number, it will fly correctly.

Probably a really lousy explanation, but the best I can do this time of day...

    Pat☺

Sir i'm no newbie i know what is IAS, GS or TAS the problem is the default 737 if i set mach 0.8 at an altitude where my IAS is 280 knots and i climb for a higher altitude i'll end with my speed at mach 0.82 at 280 knots, it's just MS was too lazy to make it realistic or fix its issues

  6. I am running FS9 with disk 4 without any issues and i don't have the nocd patch.Other than that it is installed like Robin says.

    nebojsa

did you get it to work? if not have you checked that the security settings in the fs9 executable are set to allow and not deny?

  7. Er, why are you flying at FL370 using IAS/Knots..?

At heights above about FL240 you should be in MACH speed mode...

Sorry for late answer but the default 737 mach speed is glitchy see, if i set it mach 0.78 or climb or descend the speed wil become incorrect that's why i just use KIAS

  8. Not stuttering, frame freeze 10 to 20 sec. then runs, etc. . . .

see i was having that problem fsx freezing each 5 seconds but i turns out the graphics cache causes the graphics to glitch and freeze the sim i fixed this by going on appdata\microsoft\fsx and deleting the shaders folder also check if your system parts are overheating

  10. after you have a complete fuel loss the engines will no longer supply hydraulics or eletrical so the RAT is deployed and does it, but the problem is that after gliding to the nearest airport and landing, my brakes don't work even after activating reserve brakes idk what is wrong and what to do because the level d 767 manual doesn't tell me what do in such a event
  11. Perhaps you are describing adverse yaw, which I have been unsuccessful in modifying. If this is indeed your issue, you could look at this thread for all the things people suggested.

i think it may be that but i'm not sure heres a pic explaining what happens

    https://imgur.com/a/gS2AaHv

when i'm trying to approach a runway, i'm totally lined up, i get some crosswind i try to compensate by rolling left but the plane moves right and i totally get unlined with the runway just like in the pic

  12. I'm having a problem with some mod aircraft i got, that is when landing by using ailerons to roll to left the plane moves to the right and the same thing happens when rolling to the right, the plane goes to left, i know this is normal to happen but in this freeware this happens way too much than it should making landing very difficult, i also remember of this happening to the iFly 747

but any way i can change this?

  13. It appears that the maximum vertical speed was too high during your approach, which was the only point of failure. I don't know what the target v/s is (programmed, that is), but 1000 fpm is likely not desirable during the approach, and especially when you're closer to the ground, the latter part of the approach.

In other words, at some point during the approach you let your rate of descent get too high. Apparently your average v/s was OK, though, so I'd not worry about it unless you did that near the ground.

yeah figured out what's wrong, when you teleport to a approach distance using LoLa your plane starts at a descent of -1000 fpm and that makes the fail, on a normal approach i only go to -800fpm and as i get lower so does my descent rate
