its turning me around over the water though and when it completes the turn, I'm not under the glideslope anymore. Seriously, what is causing this to happen?!
-
NAV 1 freq set to 111.30? Wonder if you are picking up another runway ILS from a nearby airport?
Yes that what the frequency was set to....Do you think it's because I didn't use the ATC?
-
I use a combination of GPS for the flight and then switch to heading mode so I can work on my approach with the autopilot dials to line me up with the airport. I did a long haul O'Hare to De Gaulle flight that went off with no problems whatsoever. So then I attempted a short flight from Toronto to O'Hare and I did the same exact thing, except when I intercepted the glideslope for runway 22R, the autopilot proceeded to do a 180 turn AWAY from the airport. I tried it again, did the same thing.
What causes this to happen? What did I mess up?

The panels and sounds are on this page: https://simviation.com/hjg/downloads.htm
Scroll down to the bottom and click on both of the Trident links next to PANELS + corefiles and SOUNDS.
This is what fixed it. Thank you so much :)
-
I'm using the one that's official DLC for the steam version. I'm not sure exactly what I'm doing wrong, but every single time I fly this plane and try to do a proper ILS approach, it starts to either descend way too sharply or way too early, even before I switched on approach hold button. I recently had a KBOS-EHAM flight end in disaster because the autopilot made the plane start descending as soon as the damn morse code started playing and I was no where near the runway.
Can someone please help me here?
-
Did you try this
https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/17586/fsx-hawker-siddeley-trident-2-and-3-update/
Also i seem to remember the cockpits were seperate downloads??
I did have it installed a while back but didnt replace it after a reinstall so it definitely works in FSX
I downloaded the update, installed it and it STILL won't work! What am I doing wrong? I've NEVER had this problem before.
-
Seriously, I've downloaded every single FSX update file and no matter what I do IT STILL WONT SHOW UP Can somebody please help me or direct me to a Hawker Siddley Trident freeware download that actually works??
This is where I downloaded it from

Im trying to repaint a POSKY 767-200 but every single time I edit the extended BMP file and I save it using the DXTBMP program, it literally wont save it. I look in the aircraft directory and its still the old texture file. Ive tried EVERYTHING, saved it as a different file format, restarted my computer, nothing works. Please help me before I take a sledghammer and break my computer.

The only AI add on that I have is My Traffic 6, and this crashing issue has been going on before then. The reason why I installed it was because I erroneously believed that the crashing issue resolved itself when I limited the FPS and cleaned out all my AFCAD files and custom scenery.
-
It happened AGAIN when trying to accelerate time! I thought that I fixed it! Can someone PLEASE help me decipher what this stuff means?!
This is the current one

Is my game just completely and utterly just broken?
-
Ok....I know this is a triple post but....I got it to work and I figured out what was wrong. I accidentally edited the wrong scenery.cfg in a blind attempt to install it the first time. (the one inside the steamapps/fsx directory instead of the users/all users one.)
-
Ok I figured out what was wrong, and now I have an entirely different problem! The loading hangs at 90% and then CTD!!!!

Well after fixing the apphang/CTD problem, I decided to buy MyTrafficX as it's been on my radar for a while.
I did everything the manual said to do....but it STILL won't work. Every single time I load FSX, this error message pops up "SCENERY.CFG file error. Local scenery directory (..\..\..\..\..\MyTrafficProfessional\MyTraffic\SCENERY) in scenery Area.122 not found." The whole FAQ on that board is so confusing and it's giving me a headache. Can someone please tell me what to do in plain English?
-
I'm honestly ready to take a hammer to my computer. I disabled custom scenery, it seemed to work. I was able to manipluate the Sim time during my JFK to ORD test flight, but when I tried to turn on the Visual flight path during my descent so I can see the glideslope, it didn't CTD but THE THING DID ANOTHER APPHANG. EVENT VIEWER AND APPCRASHVIEW ISNT GIVING ME ANY OTHER INFORMATION THAT I CAN DECIPHER OTHER THAN "APPHANGB1" AT LEAST WITH THE CTD'S IT GAVE ME A REASON!
I'm removing all my custom scenery, all the custom traffic files I made, and if this doesn't work I'm going full nuclear and completely uninstalling FSX.
Sorry for yelling, this is just really frustrating.
-
I've been looking throughout the Event Viewer for other FSX crashes at it seems like another offending component other than the groundhandling gague is the ai.player.DLL file. Would a clean uninstall and reinstall of FSX help?

Just today I tried to do a JFK to ORD flight and I switched sim time to 16x and right in the middle of the flight, it crashed to desktop.

I fail to see how the groundhandling gauge could be causing the ENTIRE game to crash.
-
When I do long flights, I always increase sim speed to make time go faster and because of the Autopilot oscillation glitch, I usually turn off Autopilot to go more than 4X speed....Now it used to work perfectly, but at some point, I don't know exactly WHEN it was, but whenever I hit the options tab....It would freeze, and then either stay frozen or close automatically.
This is what the log of the latest crash says.

Can anybody please help me?
ILS turning plane in wrong direction, what am I doing wrong?

I believe that my heading was around 230 or so, kinda around the heading of the runway itself and I was approximately 26 or so NM away from the runway at like 2500 or 3000ft. I really wanted to make sure I was underneath the glideslope so I didn't miss the approach. It should have just turned me twoard's the runway so I could set up a nice smooth landing.
I mean, it could be possible that NAV2 was causing issues because the panel I was using (I was flying the default MD-80 with a custom MD-80 panel) had the two radios on at all time with no way to shut it off, but I recall something similar happening in the CLS 747 during a long haul flight, where I'd be ready to incercept the glideslope and then all the sudden, it turns in the complete opposite direction of the airport.
It didn't make me climb, but it made me lose the diamonds and make the radio stop beeping, meaning I'm not underneath the glideslope anymore. It's like the airport is a damn magnet repelling my plane away.
