  1. HJG simulations are designed to use HJG supplied panels only .... it's the desirable panel/gauge/FDE/and audio inter-relationship which actually dictates this. HJG's gauges .... particularly the like of its engine gauges (in panels they've either compiled themselves or been authorized to re-engineer) are "very accurate" .... due to the said FDE/gauge inter-relationship. Apply a non HJG panel (or a wrong panel version) to any HJG simulation and one may expect to encounter issues .... such as excess or insufficient power (and/or other issues) due to the gauges calibration in alternative panels not being as finely tuned or in-tune with HJG's own FDE's. The same applies also in regard to sound packs too .... HJG's sound packs are compiled "to function best" with their own simulations .... apply it's sound packs to other simulations, or other audio options to HJG's simulations, or the wrong sound pack to any HJG simulation, and these won't then work as well. Among many FS misconceptions is the one that implies any panel, or sound pack, can be used with any other simulation .... but .... this's "not so" .... or rather .... is "a falicy" at the very least. 2. And remember in regard to HJG support .... The best (official) support for all HJG aupplied simulations is provided "on the HJG website only". Although we´ve occasioned to assist in regard to very minor issues voiced on other websites when we´ve become aware of these .... support should always be directed to/sought from the HJG website and which is where the brains, and best technical knowledge base for what we produce, can be found and depended upon ;) Mark C HJG
  3. And HJG expect/hope to be able to prpvide further updates, improvements, and expansions for its recently re-released "freeware" DC-10 flight line .... before the end of the year. FYI .... a few more "new" DC-10-30 textures were released by HJG yesterday .... as per the website update announcement on its NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS forum page. Mark C HJG
  4. Nice effort though Gus. If you want to have another shot at it then you might find the following linked left and right side line profiles helpful :- http://airliner-civil-aircraft-modeller.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2410 MRC HJG
  5. I'm catching up with all this at a fairly late stage. Thanks for your appreciation of our/HJG's efforts .... those of you whom have taken a moment to express such sentiments ;) On the subject of something I "skim-read" here in regard to panel/support manuals .... We/HJG compile our own data based on both RW operations and how each simulation "wants" to fly within FS .... the latter being the factor which governs everything. This data, for each aircraft type/panel version, is accessible from each of our aircraft type support pages .... in the form of "INSTALLATION & HANDLING NOTES" postings .... and are the "official guides/manuals for HJG supplied simulations. This data is usually very comprehensive .... extending way beyond just recommended installation procedures and aircraft/panel/engine type and thrust/weight and other technical information .... to include correct/recommended base pack, pane, sound configurations .... as well as the recommended panel preflight preparations, engine startup tutorials, and "basic" flying guides also. Pretty much everything one needs to know (or be aware of at least, is covered within these HJG forum based presentations. MRC HJG
