  1. Battle For Midway Missions and Campaign for Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 2

This is a completely updated and revamped package of Abacus Publishing's "Battle For Midway" add-on for Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 2.

There were *NUMEROUS* mission bugs and typographical errors contained throughout the entire package. Some of the bugs and errors were so severe that some of the missions would completely crash and lock up the simulator, or they could not even be completed (especially in the Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 2 version, which was simply a conversion of the missions by Abacus Publishing of their Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 1 missions).

This edited and repackaged version of Battle For Midway for Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 2 fixes all of that! All of the mission bugs and typographical errors have been corrected and fixed, and all of the converted Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 1 aircraft in the missions that were included with the Abacus Publishing package have been substituted with similar stock aircraft that ship with Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 2.

  2. FS2000 Professional Mooney Bravo Panel with Togglable ADF Indicator

This is a panel for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000 Professional for the Mooney Bravo that includes a togglable ADF indicator. The ADF indicator is positioned over the VOR 1 indicator when it is toggled and displayed, and the radio stack includes an additional navigation radio to set the frequency of the ADF indicator (similar to the Mooney Bravo IFR panel's radio stack). Also included is a "Minicontrols" subpanel, like the one included with the all of the aircraft in Microsoft Flight Simulator 98.

The new panel can be accessed within Flight Simulator 2000 Professional by selecting the "Mooney Bravo ADF" aircraft.

The various subpanels and the togglable ADF indicator for the aircraft are selected in the usual manner by using the following keyboard hotkeys:

    SHIFT+1 = Main Panel
    SHIFT+2 = ADF Indicator
    SHIFT+3 = Radio Stack
    SHIFT+4 = GPS
    SHIFT+5 = Annunciator
    SHIFT+6 = Overhead Panel
    SHIFT+7 = Compass
    SHIFT+8 = Minicontrols

...or by selecting them using the "Views/Instrument Panel" menu.

To install, simply unzip the archive to the "FS2000\AIRCRAFT\MOONEY_BRAVO" subdirectory on your hard drive overwriting the existing "Aircraft.cfg" file (a backup of the original file is included in the archive, "Aircraft.ori"), maintaining the directory structure within the archive.

  4. Apollo Flight Adventures Volume 1 for Flight Simulator 2000

Apollo Flight Adventures Volume 1 for Flight Simulator 2000 These adventures require Apollo Flight Adventures Volume 1, and the Apollo Flight Adventures Volume 1 Flight Simulator 95 upgrade (AFAV1UPG.EXE). This archive contains the adventures for the Apollo Flight Adventures Volume 1 Flight Simulator 95 upgrade (the adventure files contained in the archives APPRADV.EXE and JFKADV.EXE, that are contained in the archive AFAV1UPG.EXE) converted for use with Flight Simulator 2000. The adventures were first converted with Flight Simulator 2000's Aircraft and Adventure Factory Converter (AAFConv.exe), decompiled with Adventure Decompiler v1.25 (Dec.exe contained in the archive Adventure_Decompiler_v1.25.zip), and then recompiled with the Flight Simulator 2000 APL SDK Adventure Programming Language Compiler (APLC.exe contained in the archive FS2000_APL_SDK.ZIP). These conversions were needed so that the adventures and their custom hotkeys function properly in Flight Simulator 2000. Note that there still may be a few minor bugs and glitches when running any of these adventures, but for the most part they function just fine. By Rich Nagel.

  5. FS2000 Catalina Airport Scenery Flatten Fix

This scenery file (M5244271.bgl) fixes a problem in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000 where the ground at Catalina Airport (KAVX) is not solid. The elevation of the island and airport is 1,601 feet, but attempting to land or takeoff from the airport results in sinking into the island all the way down to sea level.
The scenery file contains several flatten polygons that fix the errors with the existing polygons in the default scenery.
Simply copy the files included in the archive to the "FS2000\SceneDB\WestHem\USSW\Scenery" directory on your hard drive.
Also included in the archive is a backup of the original scenery file (M5244271.ori), as well as a backup of the fixed scenery file (M5244271.new).

  7. Crystal River Plaza for Flight Simulator 2000

This scenery is a little creation of mine for Flight Simulator 2000, a loose recreation of "Crystal River Plaza" directly across from the Crystal River Airport (X31) in Crystal River Florida.
It's really neat to see the planes skimming the rooftops of the buildings of the parking lot of the shopping center that are approaching for a landing on runway 9 at X31 while waiting for your Domino's Pizza order in the real-world location 🙂

  8. FS2K Windows Titlebar Remover

FS2K Windows Titlebar Remover This simple AutoHotkey script will remove the Windows titlebar from any program or game running in windowed mode under Windows 10+. This is perfect for games (such as Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000 or Combat Flight Simulator 2) that don't render properly (or suffer from poor framerate) when run in fullscreen mode under Windows 10+, yet function well when run in a fullscreen window. This AutoHotkey script doesn't suffer from some of the performance issues that DDrawCompat (or any other Direct3D or DirectDraw "wrapper") may introduce when attempting to accomplish the same thing. After running the program or game and putting it in fullscreen windowed mode, press the left Windows key and the left mouse button simultaneously to remove the Windows titlebar. Press the left Windows key and the right mouse button simultaneously to display the Windows titlebar. Note that if you run a program or game as an administrator, or have any of the various Windows compatibility modes enabled, you will need to execute this AutoHotkey script as an administrator for it to function when running the program or game. CFS2 Scenery--Glacier National Park Airstrip. This scenery is a completely fictional airstrip, and is to be used in conjunction with Orlando Sotomayor's most excellent "Glacier National Park" 30 Meter LOD 10 terrain mesh for Flight Simulator 2000 (included in the archive). Note that the actual airstrip's scenery is quite basic, as I simply created this airstrip to have a location to depart from and fly around Orlando Sotomayor's awesome looking terrain mesh scenery. The asphalt patch will not change the visual appearance of the runway (when used in combination with the included texture file), only the runway's surface characteristics. Created by Rich Nagel.
