Hi! It has been already a while since the update including new Japan scenery landed in MSFS, and the wallpaper with Mt Fuji is still there, even after a later update.
I'd like to revert to default. Is there any way to get rid of the new wallpaper?
Thanks in advance, best regards.
Watching, same desire. I have not downloaded the japan update, never fly there, don't intend to. I figured it may go away after download, apparently not.
And it would be nice if the splash screen that shows the 172 would change to show the plane you pick with info on it as well. Tired of looking at the 172s butt.

Wait, I thought EFIS was Electronic Flight INFORMATION System and was the small panel on airliners with the alphanumeric keypad that their flight plan was loaded on and accessed with!

Not only that but when there is no black wall under them you still can't fly under them and also the I-5 bridge in Portland OR has TREES coming out of it.

Tell this to the developers who mandate patches that break as many things as they fix.

Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
However...
I've owned every version of FS since 4.0. None of them had problems as bad as this one does. And I realize that modeling the whole world is a monumental task, but we didn't twist their arms or hold them at gunpoint to make this sim, they did it on their own. Therefore when they give us woodys with pretty graphics and stunning screen shots, that's what we expect in a final release. And we just expected it all to work as it should. Why? Because they did it before! Multiple times. But something changed in the new Microsoft. Unfortunately in today's new version of American Capitalism, most corporations have given up on providing high quality products that last, and software companies rush code to market to recoup their ROI ASAP. The bean counters run the show nowadays. Follow the money.
But there is hope. It will get better IF Asobo keeps their promise of a 10 year commitment to this sim's development. I will believe it when I see it, granted I live that long anyway.
Cleared for takeoff...

Why should you have to use a 3rd party program to add functionality that any 7th grade programer could add in 5 minutes. That's pretty stupid. Everytime there's something wrong with this program, we're gonna need a 3rd party app to fix it?
Agreed. I have learned to be patient when it comes to fixes on this sim. I'm not about to go running off to the Internet like a chicken with it's head cut off looking for and possibly paying someone to fix what Asobo/MS probably will in an upcoming patch.

Download and install. Run FS and your panels should work.

Move the mouse cursor to the top of the screen to activate the in flight menu, select the AI (?) tab and check the settings there. You may be in full assist mode.

I'm not sure if this belongs here or in the MSFS2020 forum, please let me know if I'm in the wrong place.
I'm interested in purchasing some of these items for use in FS2020 but before I do I want to understand which ones are supported. I know the yoke, pedals, throttles, and HOTAS are supported, but what about some of these other items?
https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/flight.html
1) Flight Switch Panel: I'm thinking I can just map these switches to hotkeys and it would probably work OK?
2) Flight Multi Panel: it seems this would need special support to work? Or is there a standard API that will allow it to work already?
3) Flight Instrument Panel: it seems unlikely that this would currently work?
4) Flight Radio Panel: This one I'd really love if it worked, again perhaps there is an existing API that will allow it work out of the box?
There is currently no support for those panels in FS2020 BUT, there are 3rd party add ons that can make them work (SpaD.Next, Lorby's AxisandOhs, FSUIPC, etc) but they all induce major stuttering in the game until the Simconnect module that is installed with FS2020 is fixed in the first patch due sometime next week. I have no idea yet how well that is going to pan out. Look to the Peripherals section of the FS2020 forums in the next couple weeks.
Also, the pedals, yoke, and throttle are "supported" in that the sim sees them but there are no default profiles for them, meaning that you have to manually assign every single axis and button. Took me hours to get all that done.

I too am sitting on 3 Saitek panels that don’t work. Very disappointed.
I emailed Logitech about support for Saitek Panels and got this in response…
“Due to unforseen changes between the Alpha and final versions of Flight Simulator, updated support for the Flight Panels has been delayed until Septemberâ€.
I then pressed her (Carmel) to confirm that they are working on the issue and she replied with…
“Yes. You can send us a follow up so we can send you an update if there’s already plugins available for MFS2020. Currently there’s no more information provided aside from the email we sent previouslyâ€.
There’s light at the end of the tunnel.
