Looking for an Allegiant B757- that is compatible with P3D v4. (I've checked here, Simviation, and Avsim with no luck. Info appreciated.
if you're looking for freeware, which, your selections seem to indicate, then I would recommend the TDS or Project opensky one. however, if you are willing to pay a little bit, you can't go wrong with the Qualitywings 757. and Avsim has a great livery for Allegiant using the Qualitywings model. likewise, if you want to spend a little more, there is the Captain Sim version of the 757, with a more complicated cockpit, but also has an allegiant livery native to its livery manager.

so, taking a decent interest in trying to learn to fly more vintage aircraft. is the Aeroplane Heaven DC-3, free on ORBX, worth it?
-
I actually have yet to actually fly her. almost as soon as I got it installed, I got a new laptop and in the process of transfering everything to it... and tracking down where I got some of the sceneries!

Oh my, I actually got the good fortune to fly on one of these birds (after it was made flyable)

Thanks!

fs2020 has some awesome sunsets, nice shot
So I have seen. But, this screen was from p3d

Welp, did a flight from KLAX-KDFW the other night, and snagged this screenshot:

Thanks! kinda glad I discovered Carenado! they make some good stuff. little disappointed that the GPU does not really function, but FSUIPC should fix that
-
So, finally got a hold of this bird in P3Dv4 and starting to learn it:

Cool flight! When i get back to my sister's house, i can probably give you a link to a cool KMCI scenery, which includes the option of SODE gates...if you want
-
saw that all the time in FS2002!
-
one question, do you ever have any problems with the jetways for denver?
-
Thanks Michael! Meh, it was just a chemtrail flight anyway, only me and the copilot onboard, lol.
Nope, separate charge for P3D v4+. Cheap though @ $15 bucks? I dug up my original purchase details last night and I paid $45 bucks for it back in 2010! I do have an installer for FSX and I still have FSX installed so I think I might give it a try in FSX before I pony-up for the v4.5 version.
be aware, this thing likes to shoot up like a rocket!

Sorry, I didn't get my reply into your 13 minute wndow.
It sounds like the aircraft radius is set wrongly on the aircraft concerned.
In the aircraft.cfg flie, under [airplane_geometry] change the wing_span= setting as required. Note that this in feet (not meters) and is diameter rather than radius so it should work out to double the defined gate size.
John
It's cool. I actually haven't done anything drastic yet. I just thought i would add that shortly after posting. I will look into that!

So, out of curiosity, went to look up the PMDG 737 NGX and found that PMDG no longer offers the FSX compatible 737 NGX, even for direct download from their site (they did say on the forum that it is temporarily still offered on Aerosoft's site). Did they ever release why this is the case? Not mad, just curious why such a popular product would have this happen.

If not, then, fine! I will fork out the money for Traffic Global
-
Is Simviation safe? well, given the amount of stuff I have gotten from there and what little trouble I had afterward, the answer is, yes, yes, yes! It is a safe website!
-
So, got My Traffic 6 and found, to my horror, that even though I now have textures for all aircraft, I now have the problem of aircraft using whatever gates they choose, even if the aircraft is too big for that gate. Is there a way to solve this and designate what gate size an aircraft type is allowed to use?

Beautiful Aharon!!
And no, I wasn't aware a C-130 was flown by a civilian company, except for firefighting!
Michael
I think Buffalo might have used a couple at one point or another. don't remember.

Nicely done! I to have been putting off really learning the FMC. I even have the basic instructions printed. One of these days I will get serious about it.
I actually have been getting seriously into learning to use FMC, especially now that I am flying with a VA (picture documentation of those flights coming). once you learn the FMC, you will have a hard time going back to not using one! it just makes flying so easy!
-
well, no luck in solving the issue, no matter what I tried. so, going to get MyTraffic Professional instead.
and f my life, this is a bust too. it requires a component I have zero way of getting. the required SDK is not provided with FSX Steam, and the only boxed edition of FSX I have is the standard... crap!

So, finally got her airborne. She seems to fly very well. Working to learn how to use the gyropilot, but she is a good plane for sure!
