  1. Milleron: I live here in Ca. They are generally available at the very end of the month or at the first week. They sell out fast. You can email the owner, Milan, and he will reply with the expected availability dates. They ship worldwide and are a smaller company. I only had to wait about two weeks when I wanted mine. After almost a month of daily use, I have no complaints whatever. No plastic like the Charlie pedals and don't cost $600 or weigh twenty pounds like the TPR.

    That's why there's diversity in the market. Different strokes for different folks..😄

  2. I had the same thing happen Tuesday night. Had been running   MSFS for two days, no issues. Restarted then boom, wouldn't load for rhyme or reason. Took two days to sort it out. Another user on Avsim had the same issue and his solution worked for me. https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/630968-msfs-wont-get-past-initial-splash-screen/

    I surmised that perhaps Windows update had corrupted the Opt.cfg file earlier that day. I renamed the file, reloaded but then when "Checking for updates" would never get past. Stated "OFFLINE". Couldn't understand why. Signed out of XBox, Microsoft Store then signed in again.. Nada. My PC was definitely online.. Then it DAWNED on me: I have MSFS from STEAM and I had flown for weeks with Steam Offline. I restarted  Steam ONLINE and all is well. The latest download is HUGE. Anyway, hope this helps. Too many fingers in the pie to ensure the program works..😔

  3. Glad to see most of the ole gang here. I'll reserve comment on the new software until the growing pangs are worked out.  It's obviously a step in a necessary direction.  Not sure if anyone has mentioned, but since most comments center around file searches and downloads, might I inquire as if there will be a mention of the file size in the top posting of the potential download file? Many patrons still have to judiciously manage their storage space.  Just a thought. As aged as I am, I found the site ultimately navigable and not as daunting as some would make it appear. The behind the scenes workers have a tremendous undertaking relocating the vast old "site". They deserve a break and some time. Remember, this software is new to them as well.. Blue skies...

  4. Roy, I'm going on very limited info here. I'll pass on to what I experienced a few days ago similar to your description, not sure if it's the same though. I use the Honeycomb Bravo Throttle setup. In air, on ground, any AC, the throttle behavior was like yours. I was beginning a flight in simple aircraft (JPL 152) like the Bulldog. I'd advance the throttle and shortly afterwards the throttle would retard  and the engine cut off. Long story short: I had previously flown a small jet and one of the axis was assigned "Fuel Cutoff". Since I wasn't using that axis, I ignored it and had not updated the control configuration in the Control Options. Once I reselected "Single Engine Simple", all was well. TLDR: check for any inputs that might be active that you don't expect. Once I was having a big issue and ultimately found out the XBox controller that I use for the camera, was turned on its side on top of the keyboard and had inadvertently depressed the F8 key and drove the flaps fully down. Disconnect your devices one by one and try to isolate where the conflict might be.. Hope you get it sorted out....Good luck.

  5. Not sure if I understand your query, but you can define a unique setup for any particular aircraft. I have specific ones for the TBM, Airbus, 737,  plus each of the different "class" of aircraft like single, twin, four-engine, turbo prop, jet. even the Halo airship. Just copy the default, rename it what you want then clear all of the assignments and replace with the ones you need.  I've had no problems defining controls with the Honeycomb units. If I misunderstood your issue, I apologize. Another good site is Mark at SimHanger Flight Simulation.  He has a super channel. I liked RMags as well. His was the one I looked at first, but Mark cleared some issues up for me.   Good luck..  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E06yP5g90eY

  6. Not sure what your price point is, but I've read many reviews on MFG Crosswinds and just bought them a few weeks ago. They are a very high quality Hall-Effect unit, no plastic involved, (except one adjustment knob) and fortunately about $250 cheaper than the TM TPR pedals. Delivery time was less than seven days. They are very adjustable, and have several options for profiles that one could use other than the "default". I encourage you check YT for some of the reviews. An exceptional product. I wholeheartedly endorse them. Even after looking at the HC Charlie units, the MFG are such a cut above. More adjustments, less plastic. The designer and owner of the company, Milan, responds to any email query. Very responsive to customer questions. Good luck...Blue skies..Terry

  7. yes, the first full flight after the update, I selected "shutdown" from the main menu and after the blue line went all the way to the end... (about ten minutes) nothing happened.. I killed the app through task manager.

    The next few times I've tried the program, shutdowns were uneventful.

    Hope yours goes well..

    P.S. My London Eye disappeared though.. don't know who took it.. was there before SU9.

  8. Airplane, here's my entry from an AC I used the AP popup:

    [Window06]

    Background_color=0,0,0

    size_mm=450,80

    position=5

    visible=0

    ident=COMPASS_PANEL

    gauge00=737-400!Autopilot, 0,0,450,80

    You have to be sure that the 737-400.gau and the 737-400.dll files are in the main FSX gauges folder.

    If you don't have the 737-400 then try substituting 737_800.cab in the gauges folder.

    Ray and Mr. Z above have good suggestions. You should be good to go.. Keep us posted..tp

  9. Airplane, referring to your panel.cfg, you have "gauge=00=gauge=07.". This won't fly It must read whatever next gauge # only once ie: "gauge07= 737_800!Autopilot,5,5,350,70"

    PLUS

    the numbers after the gauge file has to have four descriptors : x pos, y pos, x size and y size.

    Yours only has two descriptors.

    I suggest correcting these glitches and then post back your results...Good luck.....

  10. John, I knew these parameters were there in panel.cfg, but I have never changed them. The view used to be fine. BUT, not arguing with what is/might be, I tried your suggestion and it works beautifully. The number "5" is a great starting point as well. Thank you for this idea. I tried your suggestion on two ac and the view popped up like it should be.. Much obliged.. Thank you...Many blue skies to you and yours.. Terry
  11. Something happened about a month ago that changed the default view through the windscreen on ALL ac loaded. The view is tilted downward and I have to Shift-Ctrl Q a couple of times to raise it back up. Whenever I change views from inside to outside, I have to reset the view with the S-C-Q routine again. I've been experimenting with different monitor resolutions and am settled on 1920 X 1080 in both the program and the monitor. I wouldn't think resolution would have anything to do with that. Anyone have any ideas what might cause this??

    Thank you all for any and all ideas... Terry

  12. Airplane: If you are installing into FSX, FSX-SE, then MrZippy gave you the correct listing in his post #4. Just copy and post what he mentioned in post 4 above, with the exception of the window number, which might be different in your case. Change that to whatever number is appropriate for your installation.

    The one thing that's easy to get hung up on is.. the gauge is " gaugeXX=B737_800!autopilot, 561,330 for FSX, the one mentioned in the other posts, 737-400!Autopilot is for FS2004. Your FSX install may not have this gauge in the GAUGES FOLDER, whereas B737_800 is in FSX by default. It's very easy to overlook and confuse the two . This would explain why you have a black square and not the gauge itself. Please note that is an UNDERSCORE not a HYPHEN.. between the numbers... Good luck...tp

  13. Sapphire, I noticed you have a Nvidia graphics card. The same thing happened to me last Sunday. Worked in the morning, in the afternoon, FSX-SE would crash at load banner. Found out that the cause was the latest Nvidia video driver..471.11. I rolled it back to 466.77 and FSX loaded fine without issue. Nvidia's GFE had updated the latest graphics driver. For some reason, that toasted FSX starting routine. I didn't have to reinstall FSX, only revert the graphics driver. I even ran Steam's file integrity and it found nothing wrong..

    Hope this helps.....good luck...tp
