FSX Deutsche BA Texture Updates. Textures only. This pack is a texture update pack for the Deutsche BA aircraft repaints released for Flight Simulator X by Patrick Dohmen. These textures adjust the color scheme to be more accurate to the British Airways/Deutsche BA Landor Livery of the 80s and 90s. I also adjusted the liveries so that they're more universal across the different types of aircraft. This was done to give it a more "fleet" feel. You must have the base aircraft for this to work. What you will need: Project Open Sky Airbus A340-200; TDS Boeing 727-200; Vistaliner's Boeing 737-300; Vistaliner's Boeing 737-400; Vistaliner's Boeing 737-500; TDS Boeing 737-800; Project Fokker 100's F100 TAY 650; Thomas Ruth's MD DC-10 pack (DC-10-30 specifically; By Patrick Dohmen.

I use this
https://secure.simmarket.com/zinertek-hd-airport-graphics-fsx-p3d.phtml
Think its still available for FSX? But the developers appear to have deserted across to MSFS
That's more a texture update for default airport textures, default jetways, and ground textures, including updated textures for vehicles. I think the OP was looking for more interactive Ground Service Vehicles period. PLUS, there's freeware texture updates for airports that look amazing!

FSX Deutsche BA Saab 2000. Textures only. This is a repaint of BSMP*'s Saab 2000 (required). The repaint is done in the Landor livery of Deutsche BA from the early 1990s. Founded in 1992 as a subsidiary company of British Airways by Delta Air & British Airways, Deutsche BA was a low-cost airline, whose focus was on flights in Germany with additional routes to England, Italy, Spain, & Turkey. Deutsche BA also had links to OneWorld Partners, specifically, Iberia Airlines and Finnair. In February 2006, Air Berlin acquired Deutsche BA (operating as dba) from British Airways. By November 2008, Air Berlin had dissolved dba, and incorporated the remaining aircraft into the Air Berlin fleet. Deutsche BA's initial fleet consisted of Saab 340A's and Saab 2000's. The D-ADSE was primarily used for short jaunts between Munich and its neighboring cities of Stuttgart, Frankfurt, and Aachen, as well as routes to Italy. By Patrick Dohmen.
* - I accidentally gave credit to Premier Aircraft Designs for the Saab 2000, when actually it is a model from BSMP. I've corrected it here in this entry, and I've left a comment on the texture download as well that you need BSMP's Saab 2000 which is available on AVSim Library.
With this release, I've now released all of the basic aircraft types (that I'm aware of) that were used by Deutsche BA in it's 16 years of operation. I am willing to take on any commissions for specific registrations of the 737-300, 737-400, 737-500, Saab 340, and Saab 2000. I will also be working on updating/fixing the repaints of previously released aircraft to fix a list of issues that I came across after initial release. I hope everyone's enjoying what I've released so far! I appreciate all the downloads over the last couple of months! I've enjoyed doing this work! And putting Deutsche BA back out there for FSX!

The only options I know of are FS DreamTeam's Ground Services X (GSX) and Airport Enhancement Services (AES) (forget who created this one). Both of these add-ons, do add more realistic ground vehicles for airports. And depending on the size of the aircraft you are flying, adjust the ground vehicles accordingly. With GSX, you can actually select which Ground Service is going to handle the ground service for your aircraft (usually the airport's default ground service, a generic one, and then like 2 or 3 from airlines that are hubbed out of that airport).
Not sure if AES does the same as GSX. But those are the only options I know of.

Nothing. A "null" zone is where any signal from the controller is ignored by the sim. It's there because many, if not all, controllers will send signals even when they're not being moved. This is known as "chatter". A 10% null zone on all axes should prevent any "chatter" from them.
I was wondering what the recommended null zone was for the mouse yoke. I will have to set mine to 10% and see how it changes turning while taxing/parking.
-
You might be able to pipe the audio though something called a virtual audio cable. But I'm not too sure.
Just thinking outside the box. I use a few virtual audio cables and will have to see if it's possible. I do use more than one screen so going between tasks does make the Sim audio mute, but not the Sim as I found that option early on when I installed more than one screen.
Never understood why FSX cuts off the audio if the Sim is set to not pause between task switching. Microsoft didn't really think this one through.
-
This does continue to be an issue. With recent updates to Windows 10 and nVidia drivers, I have noticed that the different views tend to be very sensitive to frequent changes between panels and/or weather. It's almost like Microsoft's trying to discourage continued playing of FSX for newer flight sims...

FSX Deutsche BA Fokker F-100. Textures only. This is a repaint of Project Fokker's Fokker 100 v2 (required). Founded in 1992 as a subsidiary company of British Airways, Deutsche BA was a low-cost airline, that provided flights throughout Europe, with emphasis on internal flights in Germany. It also had links to OneWorld Partners, Iberia Airlines and Finnair. D-AGPF was one of 8 Fokker 100s to serve in the Deutsche BA fleet. D-AGPF ran a flight from Munich, Germany to Florence Italy. D-AGPF was delivered to DBA in February 2006, about the time that Air Berlin acquired Deutsche BA (operating as dba) from British Airways. It remained with DBA until August 2006. In November 2008, Air Berlin had dissolved dba, and incorporated the aircraft into the Air Berlin fleet. This is a fictitious livery for this aircraft. By Patrick Dohmen.

what repaints are you working on? i don't fly the default stuff much any more I'm all A2A my self. that's another reason i am avoiding MSFS 2020 no A2A
I'm currently working on creating repaints for Deutsche BA - both actual aircraft that served in the fleet, and fictitious aircraft. They're uploaded on Flightsim.com if you want to check them out. There's a thread from me where I post my releases.

In February 2006, Air Berlin acquired Deutsche BA (operating as dba) from British Airways. By November 2008, Air Berlin had dissolved dba, and incorporated the aircraft into the Air Berlin fleet. OY-ADK was an actual aircraft in the Deutsche BA/DBA fleet. It was the only 737-500 to ever fly for the company. It is painted in the Landor Livery of British Airways, which was modified for Deutsche BA to incorporate the colors of the German flag.

Just my 2 cents here, but I have found the best way is to copy and paste the entire Library entry in the body of the post (I've done this the last couple of times). That way, it gives the OP all of the pertinent info about the item. Right now, the Forum seems to be set up wherein the important links to the File are highlighted, which makes navigating very easy.
For example:

Model features high resolution textures, dynamic flexing wings, body gear steering, nose gear steering, rudder lock, ground spoilers, low speed aileron locks at high speed, fully animated control surfaces, fully independent suspension, trim animation, opening passenger doors, animated tilting bogies, rolling wheels, animated thrust reversers with reverser block doors, detailed textures, full night lighting, ground service vehicles and more. Model design by Hiroshi Igami/Yosuke Ube. Flight dynamics design by Maurino M-Bezel Brown, Nick Wilkinson. Master textures by Yosuke Ube. Livery by Yosuke Ube. (See also UTILITY_PANEL_FIX.ZIP)
I know it takes up more space, but I think it's a little more helpful for the person looking.
:)
I tried this (today), and it didn't work for me. I had to manually set up the links and what not. Seems like the set up may have changed in the last few years. Unless I did something wrong.

Woohoo! Yes! Many people are coming around to the latest is not the greatest idea.
FS9 is great. I don't use FSX because I think it really needs a better CPU than is currently available and when that CPU arrives, I'll possibly use FSX along with FS9. MSFS will never be a consideration. It's not really part of the Microsoft FS franchise but more a modern attempt at a FS clone gone bad. For anyone playing Microsoft Links golf, we have an equivalent version of failure with the recently released Links E6. It's absolutely not the real Links series.
The main thing is enjoyment. If it still makes you happy when you open up FS9 or FSX, you don't have a problem.
Agreed. Despite the lower poly models of Virtual Cockpits (which I can fix by downloading upgraded VC's for certain aircraft), I still get a thrill out of FSX. And like you guys, I've invested a ton of money into it with addons like the QW 757, FS Passenger, FS Cabin Crew, GSX levels 1 & 2, JFK v2, and subs to sites like Fly Away Simulation and Flightsim.com. I continue to believe in FSX. It's why I'm picking up my repaint project up after 8 years. B/C I've finally gotten enough experience with Photoshop to make some quality repaints. FSX has a LOT of life still left in it. While the mainstream developers for addons may be moving onto to Prepar3d v4, X-Plane 11, and FS2020, there will still be people working on FS9 and FSX. And there will be other developers who have a desire to keep the FS9/FSX communities alive by continuing development of those two games as well.

Good afternoon fellow Flight Sim enthusiasts! I hope you're all doing well! I'm excited to announce that I've been working on creating a Deutsche BA fleet for Flight Simulator X. I've released a number of aircraft so far, and I'll post links/download entries to the aircraft in this thread.
For those who are unfamiliar with it, Deutsche BA was a German subsidiary airline of British Airways (Deutsche BA, roughly translated means German British Airways). The company was founded in March of 1992. It started out with a total of 9 Saab 340s (including 2 Fairchilds), all of which were delivered in April of 1992. Between June 1992 and May 2001, the fleet was expanded to include 28 Boeing 737-300's, 1 Boeing 737-400, 1 Boeing 737-500, 1 British Aerospace 146-200, 8 Fokker F-100's, and 5 Saab 2000s. By 2001, Deutsche BA was rebranded as simply dba.com. In February 2006, it was acquired by Air Berlin, and the aircraft in service at that time were incorporated into the Air Berlin fleet. DBA ceased all operations by November 2008.
There are a few that have some mistakes, errors, or missing details. I will, eventually, get around to fixing those errors and releasing a Texture Update pack as a fix. But, regardless, I hope you all enjoy these aircraft as much as I enjoyed repainting them.

If it makes you feel better, I'm working on repaints for FSX. It's the latest version of Flight Simulator I have, b/c I can't afford X-Plane, Prepar3D, or MSFS. So, I'm doing my best to keep FSX alive.
-
#1 - Turns out that there were 2 copies of the DC-10-30 in my Airplanes directory. Deleted the 2nd folder. Fixed the problem.
#2 - I'm sorry that I didn't respond to your time table. I'm not always on flightsim.com every day. But, just because of that, it's not excuse for either of you to be rude or disrespectful.
-
I don't have a thumbnail for the Deutsche BA entry yet. If the thumbnail were in the Deutsche BA texture folder, it would show up with Deutsche BA, not as a separate entry in the airplane selection. When I first installed this DC-10 series, I originally got an error message that said that there were two aircraft with the same Title, and that they needed two separate titles. When I changed the flightsim.0 to include Condor Airlines at the end, the error message disappeared, but I still have 2 entries for a single Condor Airlines model.
-
Good afternoon all!
I've got a problem with the Thomas Ruth DC-10 series that's cropping up and I have no idea what's causing it. In the airplane selection menu, when I pull up the DC-10, it's showing me 2 copies of the stock DC-10-30 Condor Airlines aircraft. But when I look in the aircraft.cfg file, there's only one flightsim.xx entry for Condor Airlines. I'm very confused as to what's causing this. Any help would be appreciated. Images attached to help show you what I mean.

The DC-10 became McDonnell Douglas' first commercial airliner after the merger between McDonnell Aircraft Corporation and Douglas Aircraft Company in 1967. An early DC-10 design proposal was for a four-engine double-deck wide-body jet airliner with a maximum seating capacity of 550 passengers similar in length of a DC-8. The proposal was shelved in favor of a trijet single-deck wide-body airliner with a maximum seating capacity of 400 passengers, and similar in length to the DC-8. In direct competition with the similar Lockheed's L-1011, the DC-10 got the biggest share of the airline market and until the 2000's it remained a favourite for airlines around the world."

FSX Deutsche BA Airbus A310-300
[ Download | View ]
Name: toma313_dba.zip
Size: 2,085,886 Date: 10-24-2021
FSX Deutsche BA Airbus A310-300. This is a repaint of Thomas Ruth's Airbus A310-300. The repaint is done in the Landor livery of Deutsche BA from the early 1990s. Founded in 1992 as a subsidiary company of British Airways, Deutsche BA was a low-cost airline, whose focus was on flights throughout Germany & Europe, with feeders to London's Gatwick Airport, and links to OneWorld Partners, specifically, Iberia Airlines and Finnair. In February 2006, Air Berlin acquired Deutsche BA (operating as dba) from British Airways. By November 2008, Air Berlin had dissolved dba, and incorporated the aircraft into the Air Berlin fleet. This aircraft is a fictitious liner, painted in the Landor livery of British Airways, and modified for Deutsche BA by incorporating German flag colors. By Patrick Dohmen.
