  1. Both Windows 10 and the vanilla Windows 7 have the issue.  I am running Windows 10 on my Flight sim machine. The flight sim machine is running Windows Defender. I even disabled the Windows Defender firewall and it still won’t let me download a file.

I have been going back and forth with Flight 1 tech support.

Hopefully I can get a resolution from Flight 1, the person I am working with is the Flight 1 Agent developer. We should be able to get this resolved.

I can send a One Drive link so he can upload the file.  So far he hasn’t agreed to this workaround.  The agent seems to launch fine based on my credentials, just won’t download.

    Thanks!

  2. Anyone else having an issue with the Flight 1 Agent?

    When downloading, I get

There was an invalid product configuration.  I have been going back and forth with Flight 1 support. I tried downloading on a vanilla Windows 7 machine with no virus app or firewall installed.

    I get the same errors.

If I try to refresh local license through the license manager, I get

There was an error downloading the license Please report error code 5.

    Any ideas?

  3. Question for real life pilots…

II have a real life pilot logbook and I am wondering if there is a good way to digitize it to the cloud, where it would be valid log via the FAA. Or convert the images and data of the logbook pages to an electronic version?

I can always take pictures with my phone, but I’m just wondering if the FAA considered it a legal copy of my logbook?

    Thanks

  4. So I re-installed FSX Deluxe.

I have three versions here in the C:\Windows\WinSxS folder:

    x86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.60905.0_none_dd92b94d8a196297

    x86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.61242.0_none_e079b46b85043c20

    x86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.61259.0_none_55f5ecdc14f60568

I am not seeing the Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect.dll installed anywhere on my computer. Do I need to run the setup from C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\lib folder? I thought this was for client computers only.

Where does the SimConnect setup install the FlightSimulator.SimConnect.dll i? In the FSX main folder or C:\Windows\WinSxS folder? I thought it installed a SimConnect.DLL in the current FSX main folder. A little confused, here.

Then the next step is to get SP1 and SP2 installed in that order. There are posts out there that go in to detail on how to do this. I assume this will update SimConnect to the latest version.

    Thanks for any help!

  5. Thinking about getting the Flight Velocity flight panel. I have the CH Products Yoke and Pedals. I don’t think there is away to retrofit the CH Yoke via the cutout for the yoke. I know I will have to purchase the Saitek / Logitech Yoke and Throttle combo, but would like to keep my CH pedals.

The other issue is the height above my gaming table. I’ll have to raise my 55” Samsung curved TV. I was hoping to install some clamps to the panel so I could lower the flight panel about 4-6 inches. Not sure if that is feasible.

Any feedback from current users of the Flight Velocity Flight Panel would be appreciated. Also comparing the Saitek / Logitech yoke / pedals to CH Products would be much appreciated!

    Thanks!
