  1. I know Im a few years late, heres your link to all items that were located on Hovercontrol. I know what you mean when it comes to creators, hell im still waiting for that sea version of Rorys that CH 53, not the sea stallion which i was the first to fly at Pendleton, its larger, heavier. heres your link. Rory did it first. https://sourceforge.net/projects/hcff/

Someone has completely redone that fantastic work of Rorys including the minesweeper version, or lets say the larger 53, which now in 2022 a newer version is coming out and HMX 1 has discontinued its CH53 Wing.

Still; the very best chopper in the field. Do a FSX search Rory Kelly CH53, alot of MAIW will come up but keep looking youll see a post directing you to the site, fine work.

  2. The SDK is in your FSX disc 1, run the disc , look through it, its a large file as far as its going to go into your FSX. If you cant go into that or anything in way of files right click and make yourself admin. i do that on every install of anything so that i can make any cfg change i want. With some aircraft like Captsim and a few others the system will crash if you dont set the install as admin. Good Luck.
  3. Go into FSX cfg file as admin, type DisablePreload, that would be at the very bottom of the cfg as the cfg file is written in reverse. Have issues with memory or ram ? alleviate the issue with MEMFIX=1 , Now that goes at the top above the first line. Any other issues leave them here. One tip, one thing that overworks fsx is shortcuts on your screen and just before you start fsx go to search type %TEMP% and the temp files will come up, delete all, what cant be deleted will stay, all of that will speed up the fsx program and in fact they are preload files the system that will be redone on the next boot. Make sure you type in the cfg just as ive typed it.
  4. Chill Rick, you're fine!! Don't let ONLINE SNIPPERS GET YOU DOWN!!

Chill G'erard! You might be taken as an online sniper! Who made up those crazy online "Rules" anyway!! I never saw a copy.

I was taught, at about age 7 or 8 it's fine to use all caps in a title. Look around, many if not most RW signs etc. titles you see are in all caps. Why impose such silly excuses for rules here?

We're all on this site because we choose to be! We don't need to have or be posting cops! God knows, I'd be attacked by them on almost every post I make.

I enjoy posts both of you, I hope no one takes this site too seriously!

Id have to say that the personal attacks on writers has increased over the last few years, and i believe the reason is the years of education and grammar as taught from the 1800s in the U>S> until the early 1980s. Commas, dashes etc arent followed anymore nor are the rules of capitalization. This began in the advertising agencies when states banned roadsigns to make the view more palatable. I could of commented on the above mistype as SNIPERS not snippers., But I didnt:]

The slangs and technical era has made it even more difficult as the vernacular has also changed and thats why on your smartphone they keep a data bank on every word you type so they can derive the meaning, or assume they do. A good example is what George W.Bush did as president, passed a cyber law about anything on a computer and or device that had anything cryptic not realizing of course that most on a device is in one form or another cryptic. So, theres another dimension of "PROGRESS", to note even in progress there are losses, and the shortcuts on language may seem cool at times but the meanings are lost.

Remember one thing, we are all in this venture of life, were all stuck on the same planet, and i dont think its too much to understand that being overly critical can take away from the sim community, as we created what we see out here and not an already perfected program and or application, WE THE PEOPLE created what you see before you, we were given a basepack with a bunch of cartoon aircraft and a Saturday Cartoon Matinee of scenery , and you can be proud to know that for the era we did ok, considering LOckheed Martin thought so much so they bought the platform, so be proud, fly together, relax, understand Im an Old Marine, Ive been up and Ive been down, and when i head into town i dead stick to land, dont want to wake the neighbors.when in the eighth grade i used a slang in English, i was reamed by my teacher, that was in the late 60s, my reply was " You understood what i said and was referring to didnt you? He just looked and didnt reply. Point made.

  5. FSPILOTSHOP isn't in business, there were issues and they lost the site, and it was open to purchase from Go Daddy. I spoke with multiple vendors that said they were also having issues recieving payments from the online store for their products. If you want to rectify your issue, a. Get all of your reciepts from FSPILOTSHOP, make copies, contact the creator organization send them a email with copies of all purchase from the shop that pertains as well as the keys that pertain to said purchase. Each will assist you. I've saved every confirmation and key purchase going back to 2006 in archives, beings that's the only way to prove a purchase. I hope that helps, and I assure you, all of the vendors know the issue. You will also find that alot of vendors will not be using other businesses to sell their products, but just to promote. Happy Holidays. SEMPER FIDELIS
  6. The overall issue from the information I've gained is, A. The developers are sending payments late and some aren't sending any . B. I can tell you that if they don't make their payment for their web domain they are going to lose it, it's online with the coding and that statement "of you are interested in domain contact the domain owner which isn't at this point isn't only FS PILOTSHOP meaning simply that due to lack of funds the site has been taken offline , and unless the bill is paid the site will be lost. I've dealt with the PILOTSHOP since 2007. We've all had our points of contention, and misunderstandings. When I ran into issues that weren't resolved I spoke with a Manager in one state, and the owner in another and all issues were resolved. Other than pet peeves I still consider them one of the best sites, and carry a great product line. I don't agree with a few of their ideals, like charging for CDs and downloads for backup a year and after but hey, this is the new millennium and rules change all of the time. Monies tight everywhere.
