  1. Hello fellow simmers!

I am pleased to announce that my Pelicandrome4FFX package has just been uploaded to the file library! The download link will be provided in another post as soon as possible.

    50856103551_caa6002502_b.jpg

This package provides a set of 3D models and XML gauges enhancing the experience of the virtual firefighting pilot that relies on the must-have FireFighterX module by Lorby-SI (to be purchased separately).

New 3D models are provided to be selected as FFX refill station model, with 3 texture sets (France, North America, Australia).

The animated and interactive marshaller gives visual instructions to the pilot for the advanced refill process (as per the French Sécurité Civile procedures). The refill hose is handled by its ground crew as required by the refill sequence. This allows for a immersive airtanker experience that does not rely on the "green band texts" for a successful refill process.

The package is compatible with FSX, FSX:SE and P3D v1 to v5.

I hope you will enjoy reloading with Pelicandrome4FFX after your drops on wildfires!

Modelled with Blender 2.83 with Blender2P3D/FSX toolkit

    Textured with GIMP2

  2. Hello fellow simmers!

Crop dusting is really a both funny and demanding way to improve one's flying skills in a flight simulation : flying accurate patterns a few feet above the ground requires a lot of practice!

Crop Duster X, publised a few years ago for FSX and above, is a payware module allowing any plane from your hangar to dust fields that can be created either automatically or manually, then saved. The concept is not mission-based : each flight gets a mark depending on how well the crops were dusted (quantity per acre, delivery time, etc).

A few addon airplanes are well suited for the task, Alabeo's Piper Pawnee is one of them.

So I thought I could get the best of both of them : the original 2D control panels of CropDusterX are now integrated in the VC, a lightbar is added to the nose so that the pilot can flight the exact track required, and of course, the gauge compatibility is now ensured.

The mod is available here : https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?searchid=81733447#comments_start

The mod was tested in FSX, but I suspect the mod should work in P3D v2 and v3, maybe in v4.

Thanks to Alabeo for allowing me to share the modified VC and external MDL files, and to Lorby-SI for their module.

The last picture only highlights the new interactions from my mod. The blue, circular SatLoc buttons are functional and managed by CropDusterX.

  3. Hello!

I have just uploaded at Flightsim's file library two separate packages for Nemeth Designs Ka-32 for FSX/32bit P3D and 64bit PD (P4D) with the following features :

    For FSX/ 32bit P3D :

Cockpit sounds for the FSX version : sounds are played at clicks on switches, knobs, covers, levers and so on

Startup and shutdown sounds for the APU

Correction of a few typos and inconsistencies in the sound.cfg, so that both engine startups can be heard from the VC.

To bring the helicopter in the cold and dark status (described as “Interior Checks” in the manual), push the pilot’s collective top button (below the cover)

The GPS/Avionics is switched on and off through the VHF1 switch in the overhead panel

    For 64bit P3D :

Startup and shutdown sounds for the APU

Correction of a few typos and inconsistencies in the sound.cfg, so that both engine startups can be heard from the VC.

To bring the helicopter in the cold and dark status (described as “Interior Checks” in the manual), push the pilot’s collective top button (below the cover)

The GPS/Avionics is switched on and off through the VHF1 switch in the overhead panel

I made a mistake while zipping the 64bit P4D package, so please wait for the v1.1 version (which has just been uploaded).

Thanks a lot to ND for allowing me to publish this mod.

  5. Hello!

Following the release of the Redux package for the payware FCFS Seabee 10 days ago, I have received feedback about a few errors and improvements ideas. The result is the Redux v2 which is uploading to the file library as I'm typing. I'll post the link to the file ASAP.

So here are the new features :

    - Gear and Flaps levers animations now match the markings on the floor, corrected tooltips

    - The G keystroke triggers the handpump just like a left-click on the handpump lever, so that gear and flaps actuation is possible without focusing on the lever

    - The standard events triggered by the keystrokes G (toggle landing gear), F5, F6, F7 and F8 (full or incremented lowering or raising of flaps) are disabled. Please use the reallife procedure explained below.

    - Documentation of the deletion of the passenger model

    - Visual improvement of the radio background texture to match the panel overall style.

    - Hand pump and gear locking sounds toned down a bit...

    - Aircraft data updated in aircraft.cfg : empty weight corrected to 2190lb and rendering of the lack of aileron and rudder trim (aileron_trim_effectiveness and rudder_trim_effectiveness changed from 1.0 to 0.0 in [flight_tuning] section), no more autopilot

    - Generator is now synced to the battery switch to avoid battery depletion

    - The "Gyro Drift Adjust" tooltip gives the needle position in deg

    - The Kohlsman tooltip gives the setting in both inHg and hPa

    49640591383_9b74988b4a_o.jpg

All other improvements and fixes from v1 are retained of course :

    - corrected throttle, mixture and pitch levers' animation

    - vintage radio set replaced by Jon Dyer's KY196A and KT70 with 3D models in the VC

GPS295 added in the VC; consistency of switches positions and actions

    - flaps and landing gear actuations much more realistic now

Reminder : as stated in the README file, XMLTools (available at FSDeveloper) is required for proper landing gear animation and radio freq storage.

Bonus livery of OH-EGA is included (real life Finnish Seabee now at display at Lusto, the Finnish Forest Museum in PunkaHarju).

    49487116726_af0f8c658c_o.jpg

I don't own P3Dv4, but I have added instructions and files that SHOULD make the avionics click sounds play in this sim. No warranty about that though, feedback will be appreciated.

Thanks to Kevin from KCFS for allowing me to release modified MDL files, Jon Dyer for the avionics gauges, David W for the GSP295 model, JanKees for the livery template, modelr, Yoyo and altack for their feedback!

    Hope you like it!

  6. Here is the changelog of the incoming Redux v2 as an appetizer:

  8. Hello everyone!

I am excited to announce you the imminent release of the version 2.0 of my Damage Mod for the Flight1's BN-2 Islander!

A few bugs fixed, an interface with FSCaptain, and last but not least, COMPATIBILITY with P3Dv4 of the WHOLE Islander (except the KLN90a). Cockpit sounds are back and no more never-ending rumbling sound! (thx to Bert Pieke and DJJose).

The following systems will wear out and will be inflicted damage in case of improper use :

    - engines

    - generators

    - propellers

    - flaps

    - flaps motor

    - flight controls

    - autopilot

    - vacuum

    - pitot tubes

    - brakes

    - structural deicing (the corresponding switch is added to the virtual cockpit)

    - landing lights

    Extra features :

    - avionics dying if on when engine starts

    - blown tires in case of hard landing

    - foul spark plug if engine runs at low rpm and rich mixture for too long, (rpm drop during mag dead-cut test simulated)

    - engine dies in case of quick throttle movement with fuel pump off

    - sluggish engine response to throttle input with cold engines

    - door lock and alarm

    So stay tuned!

    Cheers
