Hi, the problem was apparently solved as a result of a tip in a neighboring forum.
There a similar problem (already 2021) was treated and a solution suggestion concerned the Win10 sound settings. Under Sound_Control Panel there is a tab "Communication" under "Detection of communication activities" under four options the item "Reduce volume of other sounds by 80%". This point was - without my intervention - activated. I have now activated the item "Do nothing".
After completing a longer flight, there were no more sound fluctuations :luxhello:
From the text it can be seen that these settings were actually set up for phone calls made with the PC at most. So had nothing to do with my FSX, but is a WIN10 thing.
Thank a bunch for this fix. I was having the same problem and because I'm not using any FSX audio add-ins I was puzzled, especially because it seems to happen with some add-in aircraft more than others.
