1. Does anyone reading this know somebody who can look at Stephenville CYJT by turning his head to look out of his window? I need some scenery information. Hoping for a miracle.

Have you tried going on Google maps or Google Earth? I found the airport with Google Earth.

  2. Evening all

I am a recent returner to FSX and have a bit of knowledge on downloading aircraft but I can't get the Thomas Ruth A300. A310 or A330 to work correctly, the aircraft are there and flyable however the fuselages are missing when selecting and when viewing the outside of the aircraft.

Please can someone help me with a fix for this.

    Many Thanks

    Paul H

    Hi

Is the download complete with Base Model (Complete aircraft with model, panel, sound)?

  3. I finally figured it out, I had to go to there site and download a different driver. in case anyone else runs into that or i forget lol it was called 2017_TFHT_1

Soon as i installed it the light on the throttle side went from Red to Green..

It is so much nicer flying with real like controls.

Thank yall. just my luck seems i finally googled the correct thing after tons of google searches

I was just about to say that to go for the new driver and also say that the PS3/PC has a switch in the front and the PS4?PC only has a network connection in the front. I have both controllers. Glad it all worked out.

  4. I'm running WindowsXP (as stated in my signature). FSX Standard edition. A lot of these "so-called" modifications done by developers and uploaded to Rikooo site are not that well done. Keep you eyepoint back and see if it is better. Hit your minus key once or twice while in the VC.

I see your download was a different one. I will try that one also!

I agree mrzippy " Rikooo site are not that well done".

  5. Just last week I decided to install FSX Delux with Acceleration again (both boxed version) onto Windows 10 64 bit for the first time, last time was in windows 7 and I also had a bit of trouble installing from the Discs.

Windows 10, I ended up just copying the files from each disc to my external USB3 HDD and installing them from the setup file within the folder [Disc 1] and then [Disc 2] (when it asked) it then seemed to work without error.

NOTE: I was using a ASUS External USB DVD drive which always gave me the same error about 2 files (both my computer and my sons computer both running windows 10 64 bit), It sounded like it was having trouble reading the disc's (both discs are clean but with very light scratching), I do know that CD's/DVD disc's start to deteriorate over time usually around the 12-13 year mark they start to do this (this could be a factor), I bought FSX in 2006.

THOUGHT'S: The disc's worked on Windows 7 64 bit with an internal DVD Drive but the Install seemed to take for ever or even stall but still installed with no errors (it took much longer to install than XP did with the same setup) (XP/Win7 dual booted) WD Black HDD (NTFS)

With Windows 10 64bit with Samsung 500 GB SSD (brand new also NTFS) . I had nothing but headaches with the install using an External USB DVD Drive.

If I can think of anything else I'll edit my post with updated info.

    Hope this helps somewhat.

Hi did you install the new Windows 10 upgrade version 1909?

  6. LOL, Mr. Zippy.............. .......... ............ Oh, sorry, fell asleep again. Now that I'm somewhat awake. I'll install the plane & go for a flight.

NOTE: She fly's like a 744 for sure. Brick

Hey Prostock got one that works in FSX from Paul Craig " klm_nc_posky_b747-400m.zip"

  7. You need to read the INSTALLATION Readme and not the POSKY readme!

    Installation:

    ------------

Unzip downloaded files to a temporary folder

Copy & paste the "Posky Boeing 747-400M GE V4" folder into your FSX Airplanes folder located by default as below:

    FSX

    OS ©/Program Files(x86)/Microsoft Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator X/SimObjects/Airplanes

I did read that folder and the other. Like I said it works and there is no Effects folder.

  8. Why are you bothering with the FS9 model when you could have an FSX native model KLM Boeing 747-406M Combi painted by me, the complete aircraft is available in the library, search for klm_nc_posky_b747-400m.zip, it also includes the default 747-400 VC.

Hi Paul I went and downloaded the file Name: klm_nc_posky_b747-400m.zip

Size: 13,762,100 Date: 10-14-2015 After unzipping it had 6 file folders (Boeing 747 check files, Boeing 747 ref files, Model.M.GE, Panel, Sound, and Texture.KLM.

The text document with install says "Install:

Just unzip the file and send the Aircrafts folder to the FS2004 AIRCRAFT FOLDER.

The contents of the "747-effects" folder needs to be copied into the main EFFECTS folder."

There is no Effects Folder do I need it?

The install works and the KLM shows up. Thank you for your help Paul much appreciated.

  9. Why are you trying to add an FS2004 aircraft to FSX. Some work ok and some don't!

It shows up fine under Project OpenSky, not Boeing!

Make sure you have everything I circled in RED.

OMG your right thanks I have been busting my head here for nothing.

  10. Easy: See the part highlighted in red? IGNORE it. Substitute the path where YOUR flight sim is. Like, for example: D:\temp\FSX\Simobjects.... etc.

    I have FSX:SE, so my pathing is : D:\steam\steamapps\common\FSX...etc

    You see? SI`!

    Does that help?

    Pat☺

I have fsx installed on my D drive and the folder "Posky 747-406M KLM PH-BFV" copied to

    D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes.

    The plane does not appear.

  11. Need help? I downloaded the file called "posky-fs9_klm_ph-bfv.zip" and did exaclty what it said below in the read me text and the plane does not show

up when I want to change aircraft. Is there something else I'm missing to do?

    FSX

Extract the folder called: "Posky 747-406M KLM PH-BFV" into your airplanes folder:

    c:/programfiles/microsoft games/microsoft flightsimulator x/ simobjects / airplanes

Then, copy the sound folder, and paste it into your main Effects folder:

    c:/programfiles/microsoft games/microsoft flightsimulator x / sound

    Thank you!

  12. Hello alexbreza,

The truth is, you cannot change this, the Home screen is now indelibly linked to the Steam-FSinsider webpage, instead of the original FSInsider.com Microsoft webpage. Wether you are running FSX boxed or Steam the Home screen will only link you to steam offerings.

Since the original FSInsider info is nolonger accessible for FSX boxed users it would be best not to use the Home screen, the sim will always start on the Freeflight screen as Wim & Zippy have stated.

It would also be a good idea to avoid corrupting your sim by ignoring any Steam Edition - Beta branch offerings.

The Home page is now useless for FSX Boxed versions.

Using the boxed version and deleted the steam version on STEAM. Thanks

  13. Hello all, I had FSX 2 versions installed one on Steam and the other on PC DVD. I uninstalled both versions and permanently deleted Steam version. Now I reinstalled the PC DVD version on my computer and when I start FSX main menu on the right had side for Home just above the Free Flight and Missions it shows in the middle Microsoft Flight Simulator Steam Edition. Included an attachment. Help would be greatly appreciated how to revert back to original home screen.

    Thank you
