To ease the current crisis a bit, A2A are giving away their P-40 for FSX and P3D. Details at their site. Of course, the site is a bit overwhelmed.

:) But well worth trying for I also managed to snag the paint kit after a while. At first when I finally managed to open the link for the kit it said "file not found" but by late day when I tried it was available. Very efficient considering it's a gift to the community. A very big Thank you to A2A for this.

Searching now. And I got the paint kit for the Tomahawk! It's massive but a beautiful paint kit not only to work with but to just plain admire! Looks like I've got something to keep me busy for a while. :)

Have you been over to A2A sims to take advantage of there Tomahawk gift to the sim community? I managed to download it straight away but later trying to get the paint kit I encountered all kinds of trouble, must have swamped their servers I guess. When I did finally get to the kit it came back with "file not found" :( hopefully it will be available in a few days.

I like the scenery. Nice shots!

I'm sure Sears use to sell them back in the day :) I googled "camouflaged canoe" and apparently you can find all kinds of videos, pictures, and even vinyl shrink wrap kits to camo your canoe! Go figure...

That was an interesting response from the Netherlands in the first place. I know of one person from there has who dropped airplanes, golf carts, etc. into waterways, rivers, oceans, fairway water hazards, etc. for decades. I wonder why no one from the Netherlands ever asked that person to not fly over their house or especially their gold course, boat, and/or ship??

 

BTW: That's a great looking fuel drop tank shown attached to your plane!! I'm sure you're aware that during long distance flights the "drop tank" is often disposed or (dropped) when its' contents are exhausted. Perhaps a specific area in the Netherlands would be a good spot to dispose of your tank when you decide it is empty. ;)

ATTENTION PLEASE:

It seems a concern has been voiced by someone in the Netherlands about the inherent danger of flying with a canoe. To address this concern FSX Canada has issued a notam to all Canadian FSX pilots to limit flying over the Netherlands to using just an airplane and no canoe! While I may disagree with this sentiment I firmly believe in respecting the beliefs of other FSX citizens throughout the world and will abide by the *one* dissenting opinion coming from somewhere in the Netherlands. As proof that I am obeying as instructed I offer photographic proof that I HAVE NOT STRAPPED A CANOE TO MY PLANE FOR MY NEXT FLIGHT!

Northwest Ohio? Getting close Larry! Fremont, Ohio, just SE of Toledo and south of Sandusky (Cedar Point Amusement Park). Moved to Florida in 1959, went back to Ohio for 2 years, got tired of raking leaves and shoveling snow! Back in sunny south Florida now where I will stay until I leave this world!

Yes, Rick, warmer days are coming! Not soon enough for my taste. Pittsburgh huh? Just to the west of Pittsburgh across the river in Ohio is where I grew up. :D
