Not sure what could be happening with your orbiter, but on-the-ground-stance problems are usually caused by bad definitions for the contact points in the aircraft.cfg file. There's a tutorial that I thought was really good here in the Flightsim library. It's filename "fsplaned.zip" by Derek G. Swanson. In it he gives tests you can conduct to isolate problems, then offers possible fixes for them.
