It's a Kellet flight from Camden, PA to Philadelphia Post Office roof and back.

Helicopter flightplan are exactly the same as for normal aircraft. But all my helicopter flights use separate ADE with runways of 300 ft length.

    Thank you

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong by changing a few parking spots. Picture 2 (Original), AI aifcraft working correctly at airport.

Picture 1(Modified) no AI aircraft showing up.

  3. The spots all look ok in the airport.

Take a look in their aircraft.cfg files to check whether or not those particular [fltsim.XX] entries have lines saying something like

    atc_parking_type = CARGO

    atc_parking_code = FDX

    Found it, Thanks

I'm figuring this AI stuff out slowly but surely.LOL

  4. Without knowing your setup mark the cargo ramps you want them to go with the proper parking codes that match the one's in the ai cfg. Example: FDX

    Here are the parking assignments

The parking codes from the afcad?

  6. I think I got my AI Traffic the way I want at my local airport.

One more question I have is My FedEx and UPS freight planes are going to the gates instead of parking spots. How would I change this?

  7. It's good to know it's working.

All you need are enough parking spots and of an adequate size to accommodate your AI aircraft. The 'Gate' and 'Parking' spots in your screenshot all have specific parking codes and the only spots that are free for all may be too small. If there are no suitable spots (too small, already taken or simply don't exist) then newly planned AI will approach and land, then probably disappear when exiting the runway. If the AI taxi to the gate and park then there's no need to modify the airport.

In the aircraft text file that was created when you decompiled, what were AC#1001 and AC#1004? That will give you some idea of the required spot size. Alternatively, Martin Gossmann's utility - AI-Aircraft Editor - displays the nominal radius for each aircraft and allows you to change it.

    Its 120 ft

  8. So, I added a older previous scenery of KLFT and I have The AI traffic that I was looking for landing and taking off. So I think someone mentioned to check my AFCAD Parking. What should I look for in the Newer version of the scenery?
  9. It depends on a number of things....

If the scenery is made up of only a .bgl file then the first option in your list is suitable...

If the scenery has dedicated textures files (.bmp, .dds etc) then it may be prudent to use the second option...note however that textures files must be placed in a texture sub folder (eg scenery\texture or scenery>***airport***>texture - if they are placed in the scenery sub folder they will not be displayed...

Ok, Thanks. That's one thing w/ my AI problem that's correct.

  10. So I added these to my American Eagle flight plans and still no AI aircraft

  11. Again, the airports go at the *end of the sections, not at the beginning, and the initial departure point is at the end of the line. They have to be in the proper order. You also missed removing a / character.

    AC#1001,N625AE,26%,4HR,IFR,19:58:50,21:18:49,320,F,3430,KDFW,21:49:34,22:44:56,240,F,3327,KLFT

and yes, this can be added as a new line in the AI traffic file.

This plane will depart KLFT at 58 minutes after the hour every 4 hours. Normally you would not use a starting time like 19:58 with a 4 hour plan, but instead something like 00:58, 01:58, 02:58 or 03:58. But I believe TTools will change that for you.

Will TTools change it when it compiles the files?

and do I need to delete the original flight plan?

  12. In the base component of that plan:

    AC#1001,N625AE,26%,WEEK,IFR, (or whatever...)

change WEEK to 24Hr That does daily. If the plan is of very short duration then you can do 1Hr, 2Hr, 4Hr, 6, 8 12 or 24. Then remove the day numbers from each leg so that

    6/18:08:05,@6/19:28:04,330,F,3430,KLFT,

    becomes

    18:08:05,@19:28:04,330,F,3430,KLFT,

    ***

Note that the single line of plan about which you asked is cut up in the wrong places. Each leg of a plan ends with a PoA. They don't start with a PoD. All plans are circular and it's an oddity of the syntax that the initial departure point is thus written at the very end of the plan.

    ***

I think that the repeat period has to be greater than the duration of the entire plan so if you have a 3hr 15min plan then 4Hr will be the best you can use. If you then want hourly departures I think you'll have to use the same plan several times over and stagger the departure times.

If you download Lee Swordy's Traffic Tools (I've found it at Avsim and Flyawaysimulation but haven't found it here), the zip has a very good readme.htm that explains structure and modifications for each part of a complete plan. It's comprehensive and quite readable.

Start with short one-liners and within a couple of days you'll be compiling entire airline schedules...

    D

Maybe I copied it wrong, Does this look better

    KLFT,6/19:58:50,@6/21:18:49,320,F,3430,KDFW,6/21:49:34,@6/22:44:56,240,F,3327

  13. Having written the foregoing, TBH I think Peter's suggestion above concerning the number and size of parking spots may give better results for less effort...

It's worth using ADE or AfCAD to check what parking is available.

I do have Continental ERJ-175 aircraft landing and taking off as well as the default Boeing 737's.

That is another question I have. How can I remove some of the default aircraft from landing and taking off

This is how the flight plan was written in the WOAI American Eagle package.

leaves KDFW on the 6th at 18:08 arrives at KLFT on the 6th at 19:28 and flies at 33000ft Flight no 3430

So how would I edit this to everyday and multiple times a day?

Here is American Airlines ai flight plan that is on my pc. Can someone explain what 6/19:28:04,330,F,3430 on this line means

    KDFW,6/18:08:05,@6/19:28:04,330,F,3430,KLFT,6/19:58:50,@6/21:18:49,320,F,3430

  17. Default KLFT has only three small gates. You need to add gates using ADE or AFCAD or search in this site for KLFT FS2004 and download the enhanced airport. There are few downloads available.

    I have Lafayette_v10 installed

  18. Hello Gang. I've installed 3 WOAI ai packages. United, Delta, and American which all fly into my local KLFT airport (in real life). However in the sim I only see United AI aircraft. Is there a way to make the AI more plentiful at Lafayette_v10?

    Thanks
