Hi there fellas,
How's everyone?
I haven't posted here for about 5 months as I had been busy writing a history of Braniff International Airways. I finally completed the book last month and is now on sale at Amazon, (and I believe soon at Barnes & Noble).

Anyway, to the repaints. I did 15 repaints of the aircraft that Braniff operated from 1948 to 1982. I missed one, the DC-6. I actually did one for the book, but later I screwed up the Photoshop PSD file.

Thanks Aaron, Larry N., and dlfrenchmd, I'm glad you like the book.
Aaron, I decided to write the book for the very same reason. I wanted to focus on the airlines history, write as much information as needed, without overdoing it, and off course, focus on the aircraft.
Also, the fleet data section at the end of the book, took me ages to finish. But, it was worth it in the end.
Whether, you guys buy the book or not (hopefully you will:)), it's a joy to know there are people out there who appreciate the hard work that others put in.

The book kept me busy until the middle of this month (August), when it all came together. I finally published it on August 20. The research, and writing of the book were easy enough (it took just over 2 months - working on it almost daily), but when I got to the editing/proofreading/formatting/cover design/ publishing, things got a bit stressful. But, I finally got it done.
Actually, I did do some repaints of Braniff's fleet, which I will upload on Flightsim by next week. So, look out for those. A few of those repaints are also in the book. If you do decide to buy it, I hope you enjoy it.

I'm a new author, and have written the history of the colorful, and flamboyant Braniff International Airways. Prior to the writing of the book I had uploaded around 400 repaints on Flightsim. I used the nickname of "Ted Giana" here. My actual name is Theodore Gianna.
I got the approval of Nels Anderson to promote my book in the Flightsim forums. I am very grateful, and would like to thank Nels for his support.
This is my blurb for the book:
"Braniff International Airways revolutionized the civil aviation industry in the 1960s with its colorful and enigmatic President, Harding Lawrence. It went from an airline which was not dissimilar from other U.S. airlines, to an airline that infused color and soul into its image, and its passengers. This is the story of that airline. One important thing I would like to point out is that the book was vetted, and approved by the President of the Braniff Airways Foundation, Mr. Ben Cass. This snippet from the foundation's website can give you an idea of what they stand for: "The Braniff Airways Foundation is currently spearheading the effort to preserve the history of Braniff Airways, Inc., through collecting, preserving, promoting, and protecting the carrier's legacy."
To be able to get that approval of my book from the President of Braniff Airways Foundation, Mr. Ben Cass, is for me, a monumental achievement.

1)The history of Braniff International Airways, 1928 to 1982.
2)Over 60 color photos of every airliner used by Braniff International from 1948 to 1982.

4)A full data list of all Braniff International aircraft operatated from 1948 to 1982.

Hey guys,
I hope everyone's under self quarantine. Very bad times we're living in.
Anyway, there is a bit of injustice for this little airline from Guatemala. In the 26 years of Flightsim there are only 31 repaints available for this airline. I don't know why, as it has had some of the most colorful and attractive liveries going. So, to remedy the situation, I thought I''d bring this airline into the light. (There's a few propliners for the prop lads as well :) )

I've done 5 repaints of Alyemda and uploaded them. Should be ready for download within the next 24 hours.
Info:
"Alyemda was founded by presidential decree om March 11 1971. It was the national airline of South Yemen (Aden). It replaced Brothers Air Services (BASCO) as the new national carrier. It acquired the BASCO fleet of DC-3s and the DC-6B. Alyemda's first jetliner, a Boeing 720B, previously operated by American Airlines, was delivered on November 25, 1974 and put to work early in 1975 on a daily service to Jeddah. Between 1979-1981 707s were purchased, together with a Tu-154. In 1983 the route network was : Abu Dhabi, Addis Ababa, Al Ghayday, Beihan, Bombay, Damascus,Djibouti, Jeddah, Kuwait, Mogadishu, Qishn, Riyan, Sana’a, Seiyan, Sharjah, and Socotra. 1984 saw them receive 2 737-200s, followed by a leased A310-300 from Airbus Industrie in 1993. Alyemda merged with Yemenia Airways Corporation to form Yemenia, on May 26, 1996."

Hi,
This repaint of a CV-440 comes from the naturally beautiful Maldives.
It was uploaded just now so, it should be available within 24 hours.
Some info:
Air Maldives came into existence in 1974, with the assistance of the Sri Lankan Air Force. Two Convair CV-440 Metropolitans were acquired from Caribbean United Airlines, and it started scheduled services on October 9 1974. Apart from an internal route network, it also flew internationally to Colombo, Sri Lanka. In 1976 it went through reorganization. However, in May 1977, the Maldivian government grounded its two Convair 440s, and freezed its accounts, forcing it to cease operations. A new carrier, Maldive International Airlines, was formed as a subsidiary of Indian Airlines Corporations, and began domestic operations in 1981. However, it was also unsuccessful, and was succeeded on September 30, 1984 by Maldives Airways, a new state operation with ambitious Mideast backing.

Hi,
I uploaded 5 repaints of Air Ceylon yesterday, but only two of the repaints are on the "All New Files" download page (the DC-3 and the DC-8).
Does anyone here know why that is?

I just checked the Flightsim download page and, for some reason, only the DC-3 and DC-8 are showing up. Does anyone know why the other 3 aircraft are missing?

Hi,
I've just uploaded the Air Ceylon fleet, and the planes should be available by tomorrow.
I have only ulploaded the fleet on Flightsim, so don't look elsewhere.
Some quick info:
Air Ceylon, the previous national airline of Sri Lanka, was founded in 1947 by the Ceylon government. It began operations on December 10 of that year with a DC-3 service from Colombo to Madras in India. They began their first long haul flight with a DC-4 from Colombo to London, in February 1949. Their route network by 1977 consisted of flights to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Sharjah, Karachi, Paris, London, Bombay, Madras, and Bangkok. They also operated domestic flights. Air Ceylon was closed down, on March 31 1978, by the Sri Lankan government, due to corruption, and severe financial problems.
