    LOL, Mr. Zippy.............. .......... ............ Oh, sorry, fell asleep again. Now that I'm somewhat awake. I'll install the plane & go for a flight.

    NOTE: She fly's like a 744 for sure. Brick

  2. Thats the one dlgsplash

    I make my own just by taking a screen shot of a picture and saving it as a BMP file. Then Rename the the picture to dlgsplash and replace the default one in the FSX/ UIRES Folder. Here's the one I am currently using. I have 4 or 5 different one's I alternate with. But to answer your question, I don't use any programs.

  3. I gave up trying to install it! It would not let me install to a folder I created. Into the trash can! In the panel.cfg look at this section at the bottom. You can mess around with the numbers to maybe brighten it up. The example is from the default A321.

    Day=255,255,255

    Night=255,255,255

    Luminous=147,64,64

    Sorry to have wasted your time on this Mr. Zippy. I always install into my own folder that I make on my desktop, no trouble with installing that way for me. I could upload my Copy to my media fire & give you the link. Let me know.

    My panel.cfg has the same numbers as you posted. In the mean time, I'll take a look & try what you suggested. Thank you

  4. Yep, light.8 is the VC light. Still 12 minutes left on this dang download! :mad:

    Sorry for that. You may dl and find that the cockpit lights work fine, AT NIGHT. During Day Flight is the problem I'm having. It's just so dark, makes it hard for me to see controls. If there's a fix or some tweaking you know of, please share. Thanks

  5. OK, downloading now! Will report back within the next century or 2 when it finishes. Did you check the aircraft.cfg under [Lights] to see any vc lights designated?

    Yeah, it's a huge file because it comes with quite a few versions of aircraft, very nice I might ad. As far as VC lights designated in cfg. Not sure what to look for but here it is. I'm assuming it's Light.8=4 Line you mean. You tell me. Thanks

    NOTE: This is During Day Time Fight. I have not tried on Night Flight. Either way, not having day time lights makes it hard to see cockpit controls, for me anyway.

  6. Hi,

    Could it be this?

    https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?188417-Soaring-in-FSX

    See reply #2 and #5.

    Regards,

    DDP.

    That has to be it. In all the years I've owned FSX (2006), I've never turned Thermals on & never seen them. So today, while doing a flight, someone mentioned that we should fly Gliders sometime and instructed how to turn thermals on & off. Well, I turned thermals on. We were flying in Alaska & I guess there are no thermals in Alaska so I didn't see them until I started a flight in CYYZ. I will now shut that option off. Thanks for the help guys. Appreciated it very much.

  7. FSX-SE, ORBX, WINDOWS 10 - I have a few airport runways that are off. Only a FEW so I don't need to put in any major updates or files. Simple fix would do it just not sure how to achieve this. I fly mostly 738's & A320's and I use Auto Pilot. When coming in to a few airports, my plane is not aligned with the runway. It's usually off center or is aligned along side the runway landing in the grass or I need to fly in manually if I notice alignment off soon enough. Is there a solution or just live with it? Thanks for any help.
