  1. afternoon all,

I'm currently running/stuttering with FSX running x6/7 monitors (4/5 external views, 1 or 2 for inst) on

    the following

    MSI

    i7 2600s at 2.8ghz (LGA1155)

    x2 MSI gtx1060 @ 6gb

    the motherboard is a P67A-GD53 (B3)

    16 or 24g ram.

    PSU corsair 1000w

and the framerate/smoothness isn't very good (no doubt due to the number of monitors in use?)

would upgrading to a newer i7 help alot and/or running from a SSD as apposed to the HDD it's on now?

    thanks

  2. I'm running x2 graphics cards, 1(1060 6gb) runs the main external views, the other (1050ti 4gb) runs the pilots instruments (on 1 large screen) and x2 separate views on smaller 21 n 24in monitors (x1 external and 1 flt eng panel) but since getting a replacement monitor for the flt eng panel and installing the England and germany north scenery (which I verified etc) every time I go to drag the separate views to their respective monitors they all go black n grey flickery/see through with a split at the horizon...... I've faffed about with the res on them all (the native res on the monitors are within the GPU limits) but still to no avail. It's an i7 2600s 24gb ram.

any ideas if this could be an Orbx related issue? If I have to delete germany north and England to see if it would work when both are not on fsx, is there a way I can get away with not downloading them again as it took well over 6hrs to do each file (my internet is 'B'loody 'T'errible......)

the bottom 2 screen photos with greenery in should be showing the 2 port engines of a lancaster (wireless ops view).....and the free flight screen is what happens after I've tried moving the screens about....

    thanks

  3. Have a look at Air Manager from SimInnovations. You can build a panel for your Aztec from generic instruments or create a custom one as you go. It will run on a separate computer if you want and there is support for iPads, although I don't thnk Android tablets as yet.

Mark do you know if you can use instruments that are in your sim objects/airplanes file or only ones you purchase or get free with Air Manager?

I'm wanting to use ww2 RAF instruments for my lanc sim, currently using x2 windowed views, 1 for the blind flying panel and the other for the RPM and boost but the alignment in crap. I did have 'FS panel studio' but it doesn't want to work on win10!

  4. yes I have 2 graphics cards installed an MSI gtx10503gb and gtx1060 6gb, not sure on the SLi..... the frame rate is set to 30 max, but like I said if I fly into an area that has some addon scenery the fps takes quite a hit.....I would have thought the system specs would have been adequate for the task but not so sure....

I've got FCS world landscapes v2 installed so that the world looks more hilly etc than the standard FSX world looks.....

Would I need to uninstall all the add on stuff and FCS world landscapes before installing ORBX and then loading them all back in again?

  5. For my FSX set up I've got an i7, 2600s, 8gb ram, running x2 g cards gtx1050ti 4gb and a gtx 1060 6gb, I've got x5 external views and x2 instrument views, will it struggle to run ORBX (or anything for that matter at a good level) do you think?I can get 30fps but the settings are at medium at best and the fps takes a 50% hit if add on scenery are encountered.....
  6. Afternoon all,

both FSX and FSPS are in the root/basic c drive, not loaded them up in program folders due to all the issues that seems to cause....I haven't tried fiddling with fsps for a while, I worked around the problem by using vc windows, zooming and moving about in vc to fit the instrument panel holes....bit of a pain and still not 100% (the instruments move about for acceleration turns etc) but better than nothing.

  7. I've had fs panel studio for quite a few years now and have used it on xp and vista for both fs9 and fsx but have recently purchased a newer pc with said OS on it and now I can't seem to make new panels etc, the usual problem is that xml gauges can't be opened or recognised and something cara-exe keeps popping up and so I have to keep hitting return until all the 'failed' gauges have been tabbed through, ending up with a panel covered in pink square borders....

so.... is it just a non compatible/unsupported/ never going to work on win10 sort of deal or have I suddenly gone thick....?

    thanks
