  1. Welcome back, Steve. Congratulations on your new pc. Sorry to here about your G2. Mine took a dump after the first 6 months I had it. HP sent me a new cord but that didn't fix it. Then they sent me a new styled upgraded cord but that didn't fix it either. HP finally sent me a new headset which came with the new style cord and it has been golden ever since. Also congratulations on your new headsets. You are making it difficult for me to keep up with you. I just got a new Nvidia RTX 4080 video card to replace my 2080 card and that made MSFS a whole new fantastic experience. Everything is smooth with just about everything set on ultra. But I won't be getting a new VR headset anytime soon. The video card set me back quite a bit.

    Regards

  2. My first VR headset was an Oculus Rift S but was sorely disappointed with the resolution. The screen pixels were large and it was like putting your face up against a screen door and looking through. You could see the hollow black squares on the screen. I ended up getting a HP Reverb G2 VR headset and still am very impressed with resolution and it has no screen door effect.

    Regards

  3. Well I just bought the Standard Disk version, still having a nightmare but that is another story.

Why did MSFS go this route? What happened to the more simple way, you either download or disk install, it finished, you enetered the code, it then played, job done.

I often think a team sit round the table and get their heads together and think how can we complicate it, maybe there is a method in it, because now you have to phone or send emails, get on to the chat etc, thus giving people jobs, even then you don't always get the answer.

Why didn't you buy MSFS 2020 through the Microsoft Store rather than buyings the disks? It was way easier and less painful to install. That way you could have installed it and be flying by now. I think you made a huge mistake buying disks. Just my opinion.

  4. HP came out with an updated cable to address the problem you describe. Maybe contact HP to get the updated cable. I had the same problem with the USB adapters you mention. HP sent me an updated cable which worked until my Reverb quit working. HP sent me a replacement headset under warranty plus an additional updated cable and it has worked with the USB adapter you mention ever since. Now I have an extra updated cable and am very happy with the Reverb G2.
