Would low framerate and stuttering be enduced by this?

hi Rescue936 no I don't think that if you install FS9 on a USB drive it would impact the framerate.
If you want good graphics and a good framerate the most important thing is to have a good graphic card.
However on a USB drive, additionnal sceneries could be loaded a little bit slower

Hi Degeus,
if you want "improved" photoscenery you should consider using an utility like FsEarthTile.
This program connects on a server, it downloads photorealistic tilemaps and then you can generate realistic terrains with appropriate terrain meshes.
The drawback of this, it takes a lot of time to generate tilemaps.
I don't know if it works with Prepar3d.
This utility is suitable for FSX

Dear Amberdog1 I'm not sure this is an issue that can be fixed because the technique used behind is the conversion from a 2d map to a 3d object ( stereography ? )
The map source in 2d taken from satellite pictures must be the more accurate possible.
