canopancho
Gentlemen, I am trying to install Microsoft FSX and FSX Acceleration into my new powerful gaming desktop Windows 11 computer, using my original Windows XP-compatible CDs. FSX has been installed and activated already, but the Acceleration CD never finishes the installation while validating the components registration process. Have you guys encountered this issue and if yes, how did you resolve it? Also, are SP1 & SP2 available elsewhere, where I can download and install them separately, please advise. Respectfully, Frank J. Cintron, P.E.

jorgen.s.andersen
Frank, After you installed and activated the base FSX, did you then fly around for a couple of minutes in the default flight, then exit FSX and reboot, before trying to install Acceleration? jorgen.s.andersen
Frank, some afterthoughts: if you succeed in installing Acceleraion, then do not - repeat do not - install SP1 and/or SP2, since they are included in Acceleration. You probably knew this already, but just in case... Also, if everything fails, then get the Steam version. It installs easily, requires no activation, and is basically the base FSX with Acceleration already included, and as a bonus a couple of bug fixes thrown in. The only drawback to this is its (weird) installation path. Jorgen
